Shawn and I have been together for five weeks now. They are the best five weeks of my life. I'm being stingy, saying this. I love this man more than I can put into words. I absolutely love waking up next to him, brushing my teeth with him, cooking with him, cuddling with him, parenting Bear with him. I just love everything with him.

A phone call cuts my thoughts. Julien!

"Hey!"

"Hey, cousine!" (Hey, cousin)

"Tu me manques beaucoup!" (I miss you so much)

"Toi aussi!" (You too)

"Mom just called my aunt. I think you two are coming to France, soon."

"Really? That's great. I miss everyone there."

"Vous deux manquez tout le monde ici, aussi, Soph." (Everybody here misses you two, too, Soph)

"Je vais parler à Maman maintenant à propos de France." (I'm going to talk to Mom now about France.)

"Dis-moi, donc, quand vous allez venir." (Tell me, then, when you will come)

"Bien sûr!" (Of course)

"Au revoir, cousine." (Bye, cousin)

"Au revoir."

I love my cousin so very much; he's my very best friend.

Shawn's at work, and I freaking miss him right now. So I'll call him.

"Hey, Soph."

"Hey, babe. I miss you."

"Me too, baby. What are you doing?"

"Absolutely nothing. Bear's on his iPad and I'm trying to find something on the TV."

"I'll be coming soon. It's 5:30 and I'm almost done."

"Great. And I'm waiting for you. Bye, baby."

"Bye, beautiful."

It's time to put the Lasagna in the oven.

"Hey, man." Noah walks into my office.

"Hey." I say rudely.

"Oh, come on. Get over it already!"

I roll my eyes.

"I came here to tell you that I'm going to your house after work. I miss Soph."

"Okay."

"And she probably cooked something great."

"Of course you'd be talking about food." I roll my eyes.

"Hey! In my defense, your girlfriend is a great cook."

"I won't argue."

"Good. It's settled, then." And he leaves my office.

I need to call Soph, then.

"Hey, babe." Her beautiful voice says on the third ring.

"Hey, sweetheart."

"Sweetheart?" She laughs.

"Yeah, sweetheart."

"You've never called me this before."

"Don't worry, I'll be showering you with pet names."

She laughs again. That beautiful magical sound.

"I called to tell you that Noah is coming over after work."
