Aaliyah woke up this morning. She's healthy, along with her baby, thank God. She just needs a bit of time to recover. Otherwise, she's fine.
Karen and Manny went to Aaliyah and Noah's house to rest for a bit. It's me, Shawn, Bear, Aaliyah, Noah and baby Hannah Sophia.
I still can't get over this name. And I don't think I will anytime soon.
"So, Soph, Shawn. There's something Aaliyah and I wanted to tell you." Noah says.
"What?" Shawn asks.
"Will you be Hannah's godparents?"
What...? As if naming her after me isn't enough.
I look at Shawn, whose eyes are teary.
"Yes, we would definitely love to be Hannah's godparents. We'd be honored, actually." I say.
I think I'm crying, because Shawn is wiping tears off my face.
"I feel special, you guys." I announce, smiling.
"You are. That's why we named our daughter after you." Aaliyah says.
"Awe." I put my hand over my heart.
"They're not wrong. You are special, baby." Shawn says.
"You're going make me cry hard. Stop." I exclaim.
Damn. I feel very happy.

A few days later...Baby Hannah Sophia is the best!
I seriously debated asking Aaliyah if this girl really came from her womb. I doubt it. This girl came from another world to bless ours.
My relationship with Dad has never been better, thankfully. I'm slowly bonding with my stepmom and I'm trying to get Noah to stop being bitter towards Dad and his mom. Life is good.
Mom is getting married pretty soon. By 'pretty soon,' I mean in three days. And she asked me to invite Dad. It was a shock, I won't lie. But I loved it.
I did just that. I went out with Dad on a daddy-daughter date and told him; he's coming, with his wife. A huge step, a step that truly shows him that Mom really forgave him.
"Wow. Mom is getting married in three days." I say.
My baby and I are in our bedroom; he's reading a book with his glasses on, and he's wearing a hoodie. I don't have to say how hot this is to a girl.
"What about us?" He looks up at me, closes his book and puts it on the bedside.
"We will get married."
"Yeah, I know. We're engaged for a reason. But when? I don't want to rush you into anything and that's why I didn't ask you about it for a while. We have been engaged since November. We've been engaged for five months now, Soph. Don't you think it's a little too long?"
"Babe, there are couples out there who stay engaged for years. I've known you for just a little over a year and we've been officially dating for about nine months."
"Yes, I know, but five months is a long a time for me, especially being engaged to you. I can't fucking wait to call you my wife."
"Me either, Shawn. I can't wait to marry you and call you my husband."
"And has it really been a year since I first met you?"
