Newts Nightmare

Newt's POV

(Dreaming)

I was with y/n and the other gladers, we weren't in the maze we were in a large W.I.C.K.E.D compound they had us all locked in a room together. There was a woman who walked in the room I pulled y/n close to me. "Hello I am doctor Ava Paige." She said while filling a syringe with black liquid. "Why the shuck are we here and what are you going to do to us?" Minho asked whole putting us all behind him. "Oh don't worry about what I will do to you, you should be worried about what you will do to yourselves" she said with a sinister smile. "What does that bloody mean?" I asked. Then four guards came in and grabbed me and held me down  y/n tried to get to me and so did the other gladers but they threatened to kill me if they took one step closer. That Ava woman walked over to me with the syringe and injected it into my arm, I welped in pain. "Don't worry I am just running a test" she said while walking away. "What Kind Of Bloody Test!?" I asked I was angry. "A test to see how long someone with the flare can go before killing the people most close to them" she said and the guards threw me to the ground and they all left the room. What's the flare? Kill the people closest to me is this woman jacked

Y/N, Minho and Gally were the first people to get to me "what is the flare" y/n asked fear was written all over her face. "What makes you think I bloody know?" I barked back at her. "Newt your arm" I heard Minho say. I dared look down at my arm. It was full of black veins and it hurt the veins were spreading. "Oh I'm sorry I forgot to mention I gave you a very concentrated dose of the flare virus you don't have long" Ava said over the intercom.
There was now black liquid filling my lungs I could feel it I felt like I was drowning in it I was coughing it up a lot it was all over my chin.
"Newt" Y/N said I could hear her heart breaking.
I could feel my sanity slipping away.
I was weak, very weak I could barely move everyone had me sitting against a wall with y/n right next to me along with Minho. My mind was clouding it wouldn't go away. I tried to shake it our but it wouldn't. "Love you Newt I love you so much" I heard y/n say as she kissed my forehead. My kind cleared momentarily "I love you too" I said barley a whisper but y/n heard it she burst into tears she was holding me in her arms. Minho whispered something in her ear I don't know what he said but she started crying more than she already was.
I wanted to comfort her, I just didn't have the strength. "We should tie him down" Gally said while walking up to y/n and Minho. "What the shuck, No!" Y/N yelled at him. Minho didn't say anything. "Y/N" I said weakly. She ran to my side "what is it newt" she said she was really worried about me. "you guys s-should tie me d-d-down ava said I would kill you" I said I was running out of breath.
"NO, I am not giving up on you newt" she said.
"You have to" then I gave Minho a look that said 'do it minho tie me down it's for my own good'
He listened frypan had to hold y/n back because she didn't want this at all. Gally and Minho were helping me up I couldn't walk anymore I collapsed.
"NO, NEWT!" I heard Y/N scream.
My mind was gone.
I got up a few minutes later and I was a crazed monster I tackled Minho. "NEWT ITS ME!" He yelled and I had a brief moment with my mind but it was soon gone.
"Hey, newt listen to me you can get through this" it was y/n she was trying to help me.

But instead I jumped off Minho and lunged at her she had a knife in her pocket I tried to stab her but was stopped when I was knocked off her by Gally. I grabbed the knife and ran at him I made this horrible screeching sound. I stabbed Gally in the stomach I saw fry run to him but stopped when he saw me. He was scared, terrified of me.
"Newt!" I heard a yell. It came from Winston he had a gun he tried to shoot me!
He missed I ran at him and got his gun. I was crazy not at all myself completely taken over my this 'Flare' I shot Winston in the head with no hesitation and I did the same to Frypan.
Mino and Y/N saw and both realized that the newt that they cared for and loved was gone for good.
And that is when I did it I shot my best friend. I shot Minho in the back he was dead.
Only Y/N was left she was in tears screaming in pain.
I jumped on her and wrapped my hands around her throat. I squeezed as hard as I could and watched the light drain from her eyes.
"I love you Newt"
Those were her last word with her dying breath she didn't scream or cry, no she smiled and told me she loved me.

"Y/N, Y/N" I woke up in a pool of sweat.
"Hey, hey Newt I'm right here calm down. What happened" she said.
I didn't say anything I just grabbed her and pulled her close and kissed her for what felt like forever.

She pulled away after a bit.
"Newt, what happened?" She asked she was concerned.
I told her about my dream, all of it. I told her while in tears.

"Oh Newt" she said and pulled me into a hug. "That will never really happen I won't let it, ever" she said kissing my cheek.

"Oh shuck, today we have to banish Shrew" I said trying to get off topic, I hate her worrying about me.
"Shuck, your right. We should get up"

"Good that" I said then we got ready for what was definitely going to be a detramental day.
