The Fight To Survive

Y/N POV

We were running through the maze I had Minho run in front and lead the way the only one keeping up next to Minho was Winston. Thomas was running in the middle making sure everyone keeps up. I ran in the back staying with everyone, Chuck, Newt and Frypan were running with me because they were not the fastest runners. Newts leg I could tell hurt a lot we all took a small break most of the gladers sat down by a wall Minho walked up to me.

"We shouldn't stop I'm not even tired yet" He said with a smirk.

"I'm not tired either but in case you forgot all these other Gladers are not runners like us they don't run for 8 hours straight every day" I told him and he nodded in agreement. I walked back over to Newt "Hows your leg?" I asked him and he pulled up his pant leg to reveal a blue and purple bruised ankle it was pretty swollen. "I'll be alright love don't worry" He told me. I sat down next to him and grabbed hold of his hand and tangled his fingers with mine. I looked at the cloth that he always wore around his wrist Newt noticed me looking at it, I always assumed what was hiding under the cloth but never asked Newt in case I was right. Newt almost as if he could red my mind said "Your wondering what is under my cloth aren't you?" He asked. "Yeah I guess I am" I told him. He lifted the cloth slightly to reveal the multiple pink and white scars across his wrist, I was right about what was hiding underneath that cloth. "I did it to myself, I'm sorry y/n" He said while hiding the scars again with his cloth. "It's okay Newt I just hate seeing what you did to yourself It hurts me" I told him tears forming in both our eyes" He nodded in agreement.

Then I reached for my wrist and removed a small bracelet that I was wearing I made it in the glade a few weeks ago it was black with shells tied into parts of it. I took the bracelet and put it on Newts wrist. "There now I will always be with you" I told him and he fondled the bracelet for a moment before looking me in the eyes I got lost in his beautiful deep brown eyes. "I Bloody love you sweetheart" Newt said and leaned in and kissed me I kissed him back my hands going in his hair. "Ahem lovebirds we should get going, you know before we all die" Minho said looking at Newt and I his arms crossed.

"Sorry, your right we should go" I said.

"Good, now y/n you can run in the back again like you did before make sure we have no stragglers, I will lead we are almost there" Minho said to me a slight smile on his face because we are almost out of this place.

I got up and then Newt held out his hands and groaned I grabbed his hand and pulled him up. and we all got ready to start running again and we did.

Time Skip

We reached the corridor where the griever hole is we stopped and hid behind a wall. "Is there a griever?" Chuck asked. Thomas nodded to him and Chucks face dropped he was scared. 

"Okay here's the plan we go in there guns a blazing and fright, Y/N, Teresa and Chuck you go through the doors first and put in the pass code then we will all get out together" Thomas said while handing Chuck the griever key which was the metal tube we found in the griever.

"Its alright Chuck your safe with us" I told Chuck and he nodded.

"We escape or die trying now lets go" Minho said.

"I bloody love you y/n" Newt said while kissing me on the lips.

"Alright Lets GO!" Thomas yelled and ran at the griever and everyone else close behind. The griever charged at then and some boys were thrown on off the sides on the floor and fell into a deep black abyss.
