Scoping Out The City

We crawled down the ladder into the sewer tunnel.
I jumped down the remainder of the ladder and felt my feel splash and squash into the grossness of the tunnel.

"This is bloody disgusting" Newt groaned.
"Agreed" I said and Thomas nodded along with me.

"Will all you shanks just shut up" Gally said to us starting to move through the tunnel "Now follow me" we all looked to each other and followed Gally through the sewer tunnels.

As we walked me and Newt started whisper talking to each other while Tommy went and talked to Gally.

"I missed you" Newt whispered "a whole bloody lot"

"Aww, I missed you too. Not a day went by in that shuckhole that I didn't think about you, about Thomas, about all of you"

Newt sighed then reached his arm out to me and grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. I missed the feeling of his hand in mine. "Y/N it must have been so bloody hard for you to be locked up by W.I.C.K.E.D for six months alone"

I smiled at him "It was hard, but I wasn't alone. Not the whole time at least. I made a friend actually"
Newts eyes widened at me and he raised his brows. "Yeah?"
"Yes I did his name is Jayden, our cells were beside each other."

"Jayden huh? Just friends right?" Newt sounded a little angry.
"Yes Newt just friends, you are my one and only you know that." I said kissing him on the cheek, I will get him on the lips when we get back to the base and are not in a sewer. I saw the anger on his face disappear and was replaced with a cheeky smile.

"Want to know what it wierd though, hmm. Jayden, Janson kept calling him subject zero."

Newt was puzzled "what?"

"Yeah, they called him subject zero. He had powers too, like me. Except his was that he could heal people. Like with me I once got a beating and he grabbed my hand and he healed me, but apparently when he does it he feels the other person's pain." I explained to Newt.

"Oh, well. I'm sorry I don't know about that, that is buggin wierd" Newt sighed.

"Hey, Lovers, Catch up later. We're here" Gally said and I perked up and so did Newt.

Gally climbed up a ladder on the wall and there was a hatch that he opened at the top, he turned back down to us. "Okay, climb up now one at a time. Y/N first" Gally said and I let go of Newt's hand and smiled to him them Thomas. I walked over to the ladder and climbed up when I was close to the top Gally reached his hand down and helped me up. I know Newt and Thomas doesn't trust Gally right now yet. But I can still see the old Gally I used to know, Gally used to be my best friend, Newts too. But I guess that was until he killed Chuck and almost killed me.

"You guys ready?" Thomas said climbing out of the manhole. Newt was already out and standing beside me.
"Yep" I said.
"As ready as I can buggin be"

Gally nodded "alright let's go, and I know it's hard, but act like you've seen it before. Oh and also don't stand to close to each other or to other people. You know, flare"

"Oh yeah, not many immune's here eh?" I said as a half joke. No one laughed.

Oh well. Gally started to lead the way through the city. By the looks of things we are in the middle of the city. The building are HUGE towering over me. People are walking around all over most of them have facemasks on and are avoiding getting close to one another.

"City cerfew in half an hour" I heard a woman announce through it the city. Within a few minutes the streets slowly cleared.

We walked into an nearly empty square. There was a monorail that drove in the other side of the square.

Gally clapped to get out attention. "Alright, the cerfew is down meaning if we are caught out on the streets we are as good as dead" lovely Gally just lovely.

We were swiftly moving through the streets now, Newt was running in back though I ran with him he couldn'tmove as fast as the rest of us with his limp. We ran across a road and hid behind a wall right before a patrol car saw us.

"They upped the security, I'm guessing you shanks have something to do with that?" Gally said to us.

"Yeah, we broke out of one of there facilities" Thomas said and Gally looked blown away. "Wow, that takes guts"

"We were just determined enough" Thomas commented back to Gally.

We made it through the majority of the city, we are at the base of one of the walls entrapping the city.
"We have to climb up, there is something up there that can help us see the W.I.C.K.E.D complex" Gally said pointing up.

"Okay, I'm down for climbing" I said.

"Good, Newt you first." Gally said giving Newt a boost up onto the ledge above us.

"Newt you okay?" I asked when he was out of sight.
"Yes I'm alright love" he called back.

"Okay Thomas you next" Gally said getting ready to give Tommy a boost too.
"I can do it myself" He said hoisting himself up.

Gally turned to me "he is never going to like me is he"

I shook my head "Tommy is very....hard to get close to sometimes. He might give you a chance but then again, he probably won't after what happened to Chuck"

Gally nodded "yeah you are probably right. Anyway Y/N your next" he said and I smiled and walked over to him and I stepped my foot on his cupped hands and he pushed me up and Tommy and Newt pulled me up the rest of the way.

When Gally got up on the ledge with the rest of us he grabbed a metal box that was hidden against the wall.
He opened the box and put together the contraption inside it. It was a telescope Gally focused it and pointed. "There that building, that is W.I.C.K.E.D's headquarters" he said pointing to a large building with the word WCKD ok the side.

"Here there is our way in" he said motioning for Tommy to take a look inside the telescope. "No way are you serious Gally!?"

"What. What is it?" I asked and Thomas just backed away from the telescope and pointed for me to look. So I did, I lowered my head to look through. It shone into a lab I side the WCKD building. At one of the tables was...Teresa!

"Y/N what is it?" Newt asked.
"Teresa" Thomas said blankly glaring at Gally, looking like he was going to brawl.

Gally raised her hands above his head. "Hey I said I had a plan i didn't say you were going to like it"

"Yeah, And Why Should We Ttust You Gally!? Huh!?" Tommy said pretty loud. Newt moved closer to me i could tell he was angry too, at Gally.

"You think I don't regret it!? I regret it all, I couldn't stop it. I was being controlled it was horrible. I am sorry, truly. To you guys, to you y/n...to Chuck. Every time I close my eyes, I see him. I see Chuck. And I hate myself for it." Gally said and I felt sorry for him.

Thomas's expression dropped a bit and his anger went away, I can see that he feels bad for Gally too.

Gally blinked and I saw a tear stream down his cheek. He quickly wiped it away with his hand then he breathed in deep. "Okay we saw the city and scoped it out. We have to get back to Lawrence now. Make outer plan" Gally said and we agreed and started to climb down and make our way through the large city again.
