"Jay," I tapped him as he slept.

He looked so handsome and comfortable sleeping but I was hungry and wanted to go for breakfast and I didn't want to go out alone.

"Jay," I repeated.

Still no response.

How could a person who was in the drug business and has been in jail most of their life sleep so peacefully? I thought you were supposed to be on your toes.

I put my hands on my hips and looked around thinking of ways I could wake him up. I thought about getting pans and doing it the Bad Girls Club way but we were in a hotel and there weren't any pots or pans.

Since that wasn't an option I kicked off the very soft and comfortable hotel slippers and climbed onto the bed, "Wake up!" I repeated over and over again, very loudly as I jumped on the bed.

"Beyoncé what the fuck are you doing?" I heard and immediately stopped.

I jumped off the bed, "You're a very deep sleeper, you know that?"

He rolled over onto his back and looked at me, "I'm very aware of how I sleep, I've spent many years with a bunkmate."

I crossed my arms across my chest, "Don't give me attitude."

He laughed, "Have I ever told you that you act like a child?"

"Now is not the time for jokes."

"Who said I was joking?"

"Jay, I'm hungry and I want breakfast and you're sitting here playing games like my feelings don't matter," I whined.

"Order room service."

"I don't want that food, I wanna go out and eat."

"I could tell since you didn't eat any of the many different foods you ordered last night," he said which made me feel bad because I did sorta kinda waste his money.

"I fell asleep, I didn't mean to-"

"Don't apologize, I told you to buy whatever you want and I could care less about how much money you spend."

"So does that mean you'll take me out for breakfast," I smiled.

He smiled, "You make it hard for me to tell you no."

"You need to get up so you can take a shower and get yourself together," I told him.

"You take a shower first," he said.

"I already did while you were sleeping."

"Damn what time you wake up?"

"You thought you were about to go back to sleep but I'm way ahead of you and I've only been up for like three hours, I woke up at eight. Now get up so we can go eat!"
