Levi looked out the window. "It's the whole block."

Great! Thunderstorms I love you, but how you gonna knock out the power?

Not cool man!

Suddenly, a serious thought came into my mind.

"THE ICE CREAM!" I yelled out.

"Really Liv? That's what you're concentrating on now?" Why was Levi surprised? Ice cream is life.

"Ollie go find some flashlights. Sawyer, can you go with her to make sure she doesn't open the fridge."

"I'm not a moron." I mumbled as I followed Sawyer to the kitchen.

"I didn't mean for you to have that reaction." Sawyer apologized as she scrummaged through the drawers.

"It's cool. I know you were just messing with me."

Sawyer found one of the flashlights and shined it directly on my face. "So... Do you like him?

"I'm not sure."

"How are you not sure?"

"It's complicated. Like I don't know if it's just my hormones that like him like that or if it's me."

"How long has it been?"

"How long has what been?"

She gave me a sly smirk and I knew exactly what she meant. She also didn't need to know the truth.

"A little before my Father's death. I just haven't been in the mood since then."

"Unless you're around Colson." She stated as if she has known this for a while.

"Weird right?"

She shrugged. "Not really."

"How so?"

"You've known Cole since you were what, five?" I nodded my head. "Okay, so you pretty much saw him everyday until you were 11. And even after you moved away you came back every holiday and was around him them. You've basically known the guy more than half your life. You're comfortable with him and your body recognizes that."

Could she be right? Could it be that I'm so comfortable around Colson that I feel free enough to bypass the feelings of my Father's death and just be a 'girl' again?

"You guys find anymore flashlights?" A low, deep voice scared the living crap out of us.

I smacked Colson on the arm. "Don't do that. It's pitch black around us for crying out loud."

"My bad."

Levi laughed at our reactions. "So do you guys want to split up and go to our rooms or stay in one big room together."

Sawyer and I looked at each other as if we were communicating telepathically. "Together." We said in unison.

"Good cause I'm scared." Colson pretended to look frightened so I hit him with the flashlight I was holding.

"You know, I get more bruises from you than football." He was rubbing his arm now.

"That's what she said." Levi joked as we made our way back to the living room.

Sawyer and I sat in the loveseat, giving the guys the couch. It wasn't that I was afraid to sit by Colson, it was just... I was afraid to sit by Colson. Sawyer got into my head and right now I needed the distance.

Sawyer looked around the dark room and a shiver went through her body. "You know, it'd be a lot brighter in here if you guys had some candles."

Levi shook his head. "No can do. When Ollie came back Mom made me toss everything out."
