*Levi's POV*
I love game days. There's nothing better than a good old fashion healthy competition between two teams fighting for the same goal. Victory.
Olivia is normally an anxious person, especially after the death of our Father; but when it comes to sports, she's the fiercest person I know. Today is different though. She's been complaining about her stomach all week and today was no different. I'm not sure if it's nerves anymore. Something seems off about it.
The Harpers, me and my Mom were in the stands waiting for Olivia's game to start. She didn't look well. She looked pale. I was worried. More than ever, I feel like something's wrong. But Olivia doesn't like people to worry, so even if something were wrong, she wouldn't tell us.
Right before kick off she looked into the stands, kissing her index finger and middle finger, holding them together and pointing into the air towards me. I followed suit. I loved this tradition of ours. It's something we have always done. It gives a great feeling of support before every game.
The first half was going by slow. Olivia wasn't playing like herself. Her kicks were weak and she was moving slow. Colson and I just kept looking at each other as the minutes passed. Neither saying what was on our minds but both of us knew, something was up.
It was now right before halftime and Olivia took a ball to the stomach, stopping it from getting past midfield. She passed the ball off to a teammate and then collapsed onto the the field. She was clutching her stomach in pain. Stopping the ball with her body is something she has always done with ease. Why was this different?
The halftime whistle blew but Olivia was still on the ground. I grabbed my Mom's arm, stopping her from running on the field. The team's trainer and coach were checking on her. The look in Sawyer's eyes confirmed me and Colson's suspicion, something was wrong. Very wrong with our girl.
Not knowing what to do, her Coach scooped her up and carried her off the field. He wanted Sawyer to go with the rest of the team for halftime but she refused to leave my sister's side. I held my breath as their trainer did their initial check up on her. They looked frantic. It was making me even more nervous.
The Coach and trainer motioned us to go down to Olivia. The stands were quiet as everyone watched, hoping for the best.
I was holding our Mom in my arms, at the signal to join the Coach on the field, Charlie took our Mom into his arms because she had started to cry. I went down on the field to be with Olivia in our Mom's place.
Every step towards her felt like I was a mile away. I couldn't get there quick enough. When I finally reached her I looked down at her shaking body. She was still clutching her stomach and she was vomiting uncontrollably. The trainer, game refs, and her team's coaches stood around her, shielding her from the crowd as best as they could.
My heart was beating fast. Too fast. My sister was in pain and there wasn't anything I could do to help. I bent down on one knee and and leaned down to kiss the top of her head. She felt hot under my touch. I was trying to keep her calm by stroking her hair.
The Trainer decided to call for an ambulance. Everything inside of me went numb. This was serious. Olivia was in unimaginable pain. She wasn't screaming though, tears would just come from her eyes every once in a while.
Now was not the time to try and be strong Ollie.
We could hear the sound of the ambulance in the distance. I took out my phone and text Colson to have them all join us down on the field.
