*Colson's POV*
Different day, same shit. Here I was standing in front of Brittany with her telling me that I could never find anyone better than her.
It was getting tedious now. I mean, doesn't she have some boyfriend to entertain? Why isn't she annoying him with her desperateness?
"Olivia's a girl. I'm a woman. A woman that you need." She tried to touch my bicep but I stepped back away from her.
"Olivia's what I need."
Brittany pouted. "What does she have that I don't?"
"A heart."
"I have a heart."
"A brain."
"I have a brain. A very sexual brain." Brittany licked her lips suggestively. She reached out to touch me again. "She has nothing that I don't already have."
I shook my head. "She has one thing that no one else will ever have."
Brittany crossed her arms out in front of her, trying hard to puff out her breast. "Three tits?"
"My heart."
I turned on my heels to walk away from Brittany and saw Sawyer running up to me out of breath.
She grasped my held out arms and tried to catch her bearings. "Colson thank God! Something's wrong with Liv!"
Without a word I took off following Sawyer to Olivia.
"HEY I NEED YOUR ATTENTION HERE!" Brittany shrieked after me.
———
We ran as fast as we could to a spot outside in the school's courtyard where Olivia was sitting.
Anyone could tell from afar that something was seriously wrong. She sat under a tree without a jacket covering her and it was 39 degrees Fahrenheit outside. She clutched her legs up to her chest hugging them close to her. Not because she was cold but to make herself as small as possible.
I reached Olivia first, well ahead of Sawyer. I checked her over for any physical harm while we waited for Sawyer to catch up and fill me in. There were none. I tried to get her to speak but she sat there, frozen in time. I removed my jacket and placed it around her shoulders and began rubbing her arms back and forth frantically to try and get her warm.
"What happened?" I asked Sawyer, noticing her presence beside me.
"She said she needed some air and then she sat down and then this happened." She motioned her arms towards her friend on the ground.
I looked at a despondent Olivia. She had tears in her eyes that had yet to fall.
"She's having an anxiety attack. Run and get the nurse!" I whisper-yelled, trying not to startle Liv any further.
Sawyer nodded and took off running again, this time towards the nurses office.
I pulled Olivia's body close to mine, hugging her tightly. Her breaths were rigid and she was still violently shaking. Tears were streaming down her face.
