Graduation, a moment in time we all look forward to at some point in our lives. It's the closing of a chapter that took 13 to 14 years to write. After that day, you can legally decide if this is the end of your educational endeavors.
Levi and Colson were heading to UNC Chapel Hill and Sawyer was going to NC State. All three on full ride athletic scholarships. I would of course be home alone with my Mom and Robert trying to navigate my senior year. It'll be weird without the guys and Sawyer but it's something we all knew was coming.
Out of my crazy first school year back in the states, only Izzy and Daniel would remain with me. Everyone else will thankfully be going their separate ways.
No more Tyler.
No more Nicole and Brittany and their entire situation.
No more John and Lewis to create out of this world chaos.
No more anything really....
Before we say goodbye to an Odyssey worthy adventure, the guys and Sawyer had one more thing they wanted to do. They left me in the dark of these embedding plans.
I mean, actually in the freakin dark.
Those asshats blindfolded me.
They could be leading me to my doom and I wouldn't even know.
"So guys, how deep is the plot?" I could feel the truck moving over terrain that was no longer smooth.
"12 feet." Sawyer quipped from the passenger side of Colson's truck.
"Yeah. We had to make it twice as deep for you." Levi yelled over the music playing.
"Just in case you dug your way out and decided to curse us all." Colson tickled my stomach.
I giggled. "Don't worry. I can do that much better from the afterlife."
"I thought you didn't like the paranormal?" Colson asked with humor in his voice.
"I don't but for you my dears, I'll gladly make the exception." I laughed like an evil villain.
When the truck went over what I assumed was part of a ditch I grew nervous. "Seriously though, how much further?"
"Quit whining. We're almost there." Sawyer threw something soft at me. I really wish I did not have this stupid blindfold on.
I maneuvered in the back seat, bumping my head on Colson's shoulder. "My butt hurts."
"We've only been driving for 50 minutes." Colson helped sit me back up straight.
"Harper kiss my sister so she'd shut up."
I playfully pouted. "I'm not sure how I feel about that."
I felt the truck come to a complete stop. We better be at our destination and these assholes aren't just messing with me.
"WE'RE HERE!" Sawyer shrieked. I brought my index fingers to my ears and wiggled them inside the canals. I was hoping to rid myself of the echo Sawyer just created.
I heard the sound of car doors opening. My anxiety was rising a bit. Not because I believe that they'd lead me astray but because I hate surprises.
Someone opened my car door and gently helped me out of the truck. They took my hands and guided them to someone's broad back.
I'd know these muscles anywhere, it was Colson's back.
"Hop on." I felt him bend over a little to make it easier for me.
