Introduction

As soon as the rumor ran around the Sabaody that the marines were coming, a lot of Rookie pirates decided to flee. Some of the most powerful ones stayed, saying that there would be a great fight between the Marines and other powerful pirates. Though Lanniya wasn't part of any crew, she followed them in order to look at the show.

She was not especially a pirate. She learnt how to fight by herself, only to secure her when she was stealing money. That was how she survived and she helped her siblings to survive. Since her parents died, she chose to steal money from Marines, pirates and other rich citizens. Often, she would seduce them, go to their house and steal big amounts of money. She was sending the most of the money to her sibling and kept enough for herself to buy food. She never said her true name and made herself called Shadow. She didn't realise how big her reputation as a fighter, spy and stealer was. The people nicknamed her the Flower Knight, since she was always wearing clothes with flowers patterns on them. Her favorite weapon was a long stick that hid a hug blade. Deployed, it looked like a scythe. She also had a lot of small daggers around her waist. She could throw them if necessary. She could also use guns pretty well but didn't have her own.

So her, the Flower Knight, was walking with the most powerful rookies to look at the show. Since she was not a big criminal for the Marines, she wasn't afraid but she didn't like to be near them. She sat on the rooftops to have a better view. She was beside Apoo's crew. Since she found him strange, she stayed a bit away from the other members of the crew.

Damn, what am I doing here ? I look like a member of the crazy Chinese's crew and there's even Jewelry Bonney staring at me.

The three pirates ready to fight were mostly unknown to her. She wasn't aware of all the rookies so she tried to hear the conversations around her. In the middle, there was Strawhat Luffy. She knew him since everyone was talking about him. She didn't find him as charismatic as everybody said. Her interest went to the man on the left. It seemed to be Trafalgar Law, from what she'd heard about him. Only the man on the right was unknown to her. He was tall and had red hair. He had a dreadful grin on his face.

- Gosh, Kid put himself into another shit, swore Bonney. We better leave.

Apoo's crew followed and almost all the rookies did the same.

So the handsome tall red-haired man's name is Kid apparently. And they seem to fear him. It's curious that I never about him before.

She went up and sat. The Marines brought canons and started to shoot at them. She didn't show it, but she was almost afraid that they may shoot her. The fight was pretty interesting. They were all powerful. The only annoying thing was they argued to know who was going to fight the Marines. They were soon finished with them so she stood up. It caught the attention of Law who looked up at her and smiled. She didn't smile back, guessing that he knew about her.

- We have a visit from Shadow, he muttered under his hat so she could not hear or see him.

- Who ? Where ? asked Luffy looking everywhere but at her.

She looked at him, intrigued. He couldn't be the next pirate king. Meanwhile, Kid looked up to her.

- What brings you here, young girl ? There is no Marines to steal. It could be dangerous to try your method on pirates, said Law smirking.

- Don't call me young girl, she answered jumping down in front of them. And I stole pirates too, they are not different from other men.

- We must call you Shadow then, I guess. I wonder what's your real name, Law answered.

She looked at him with a death glare. Suddenly a sailor screamed something.

- Kuma and the Pacifistas are here !

Some Marines came and saw her.

- Shadow's here !

Law smirked.

- Curse you, Law, she said angrily, knowing he just wanted to get her involved.

She was quiet scary when she was angry. And anyway, the years she passed living on her little boat on her own made her pretty dreadful towards those who were messing with her. Law was still smiling.

- We are all as in danger as you now, even more. You are just a stealer, you never killed anyone.

- You don't know these things, Law.

Meanwhile, the Marines were coming and she knew they would attack them soon. She turned her stick into scythe. As no one looked at her, she took the opportunity and ran away. She needed to reach her small boat and small as soon as possible. You did not see that Law and Kid followed her and fled as well. As she finally left Sabaody, she turned back to see the last pirate ships exiting the archipel. She put her flag on the mast. It was a crane surrounded by roses. The sun was setting on the ocean. As the other ships went away, her face became more serious. She could not get caught. Not now.

Meanwhile, Kid went back on his ship, looking at her small boat. He was not in a hurry since he could easily defend his own ship against a certain amount of Marines. As they left, Killer went to Kid, asking himself why he was looking at that boat.

- Kid, what's wrong ?

Kid sighed in regret.

- Do you see the girl on the small boat ? Do you know her ?

- She has a reputation.

- Tell me everything you know about her.

Killer bowed his head and obeyed.

- No one knows her real name, she makes herself called Shadow. She is also called the Flower Knight because of her flag and clothing. She is a stealer who steals everyone she can. She has a preference for men, especially Marines. She usually doesn't kill the people she stelas from, but nobody could prove it since she is really discrete about her activities and herself in general. Rumor has it, she send all the money to some younger siblings on a small island lost in the New World. I can't tell you more about her.

- The Flower Knight, Kid whispered. What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.

- If I may warn you, Kid, she is far from an innocent girl and is more clever than some of the most powerful pirates.

- You are talking like you know her personally, he said suspiciously, turning to his man of confidence.

- I never met this girl, Kid. I only listened to what people say about her.

He smiled under his mask.

- She's beginning to have a reputation.

- What do you mean ? continued Kid, annoyed.

- As you noticed, she is really pretty. Her reputation is not only about the stealings.

Killer had a mischievious smile.

- Do you mean she is a whore ?

- Let's say she's had no strong relationship known. I heard a woman say that she liked her loneliness and freedom.

Kid had now a satisfied smile on his face.

- I hope we will meet her path again.

The ship quitted the Sabaody islands as the sun was setting, leading them to a different adventure than the girl he was intrigued about.
