It was a while after the Sabaody incident. Lanniya found her rythm back. Talking, stealing, fleeing, corrupting Marines when needed. She had just left a village on Grand Line with a lot of money on her little boat. She was far from every land and she was enjoying the warmth of the sun. She wasn't expecting to meet anyone since she was kinda... lost on Grand Line. Without realizing it, she fell asleep.

Suddenly, a lot of small waves woke her up. She stretched and looked around her, wondering what was causing them. There was a ship far away. A huge ship. That was coming straight to her.

Lanniya started to stressed out a bit, since she wasn't prepared to fight. It didn't look like a Marine ship, though. She took her stick. The ship raised a black flag, which meant they were pirates. She recognized Kid's one. After the Sabaody incident, she collected informations about him and the others of the Worst Generation, thinking that she should be prepared before meeting them again.

The tension lowered when she saw the first crew's members. They had no weapons and there were only a few, looking down at your boat even if it was not in an especially friendly way. Mistrustful, she didn't smile, holding on to her stick.

Suddenly, Kid and Killer appeared. She grinned. Though she considered Kid as an enemy, she couldn't help but think that he was really her type of man. He was grinning as well.

- Flower Knight, what a pleasure to meet you again, he said.

- Again ? I thought we never really met, she answered climbing on the cabine of her boat.

- You know, people talk more and more about you. I guess I've heard so much that I feel like I know you.

- Ah, I should get used to it, she said looking away. At least I can say the same about you.

Nobody talked for a moment, but she suddenly turned her head toward Kid with an untrustful face.

- Why are you coming to me Kid ? Are you searching some fight ?

- I was simply curious about a small ship on the ocean, he said smirking with an almost ironic tone. Ocean's big, you know, and there are so much people on it that you should expect to meet some.

- That's not my problem. You are not supposed to be here.

- Why ? This place does not belong to you.

It started to be tensed. Kid's crew started to prepare for a fight.

- I wasn't meaning that, she said seriously.

She went at the upper point of her small ship, looking at Kid in the eyes.

- Since you're a powerful and important rookie, the people talk about you, more than they talk about me. It was clear that your presence in Sabaody was not a hazard : you wanted to prepare your ship to a journey in the New World, like all powerful rookies these times. After the incident, you didn't go in the direction of the New World but again, it is almost explicable. What I do not explain, is why your ship had been seen around here a few days ago. This region has nothing interesting for you anymore. You should be in the New World, searching for the One Piece.

There was a silence. Kid turned back. She couldn't see his face, but she was on her guard, knowing from reputation how dreadful he could be. He walked a bit, his back facing her while his crew was looking at her fiercefuly. She composed yourself and continued to stare at him.

- The reasons why I am not in the New World are not concerning you, he finally said, strangely calm.

- This doesn't explain why you accosted me. A rookie such powerful as you are doesn't care about my small boat, she added with a grin.

- I find treasures on small boats, sometimes, he answered.

- Well it's not your lucky day since it's just me, she laughed, finding the situation amusing now.

- I could do a lot with a girl like you, he answered in the same tone.

Lanniya smirked.

- Except fighting me, I don't see what you could do.

- I would be honored to have a fight with you, he said climbing on the guard-rail of the boat.

Mischievious, she jumped at the opposite corner with her stick. As she rose, some wind went, spreading her hair aside. Kid was smiling, enjoying the little game they were playing. She looked at each other with challenging looks. Again, she stated that he was really handsome. Her kind of man.

- I won't fight you, she finally said. You would beat me anyway.

- Who knows ? I would love to see you win a fight.

- Don't fool me, Kid. I will never win against you in front of your men, you said as you turned back and jumped on your small boat. Well, since you have apparently nothing for me, I will make my way to the next island.

- I actually had something to ask, he said becoming serious all of a sudden.

She stopped raising the mast, listening.

- Would you join my crew ?

- You don't need me in your crew, you don't even have another woman. And I don't need a crew either, she answered sharply.

- I'm the only one able to judge if someone is worth to enter my crew.

As she continued to prepare her boat, he continued.

- Don't you want to be part of a crew ? Have a kind of family, people who actually care about you ?

She made him a death glare.

- I can take care of myself, you're welcome.

As her boat started to move, Lanniya took a couple steps back. She looked at Kid one last time.

- If we meet again, remember that I always work alone, Eustass Kid.

Her boat went away on the bright ocean. For the rest of the day, Kid looked disappointed.
