Chapter 2 : Another day in Water Seven

Some weeks later, she went in Water Seven. Her plan was, as usual, to steal some people. It was easier since Ace died. Pirates and other outlaws were making chaos everywhere. Luckily, Lanniya managed to seduce an older man rather quickly. He apparently only wanted to fuck her. It wasn't a problem. She always managed to steal what she could and disappear. But this time, things went wrong. He directly locked her inside the room and started to try to rape her. She didn't like to kill people. She had done it before, of course, but killing civils was just a bunch of problems. But she didn't have choice. Luckily again, she always had daggers by herself. She took one out and started to stab him violently. He was screaming and defending himself. He finally collapsed down but she continued to hit him with the dagger. She could not let a job undone.

Unfortunately, this man had a wife and some kids, which he did not tell her. Alerted by the screams, a woman suddenly came and saw her, the dagger covered with blood and her husband dead on the floor. She immediately screamed and asked for help. Lanniya jumped by the window and flew with her daggers and stick. She managed to take back her cape and covered her body and face. She immediately hid in the smallest alleys. There was still people on the street even if the night was setting. Nobody seemed alerted and she knew the woman would first try to heal her husband before alerting anyone. It left her some time, but not so much. Lanniya would have to leave soon, which was bad, because she needed to buy some important things before. She decided to wait and see how things would go before leaving the town.

She searched for a place where she could just hide with other outlaws. She wanted something like an illegal bar or something like that. She finally found one in a cave.

Perfect hiding place for the moment. I'll come out in a couple hours and then we'll see.

Lanniya went down, her face always covered by the hoodie of her cape. She opened the door and the barman looked at her. He seemed to have no reaction since if she knew this place, she wasn't a normal civil. The atmosphere was foggy. The few tables were occupied by pirates. They were a lot in Water Seven. She sat at the bar and ordered some strong alcohol to recover from her emotions. She was silently drinking when a voice came from behind her.

- What a surprise to see you again, Flower Knight.

As she turned back, she saw Kid and Killer sitting on the table next to the door. They were apparently there when she entered the bar. She sighed. He was really the last person she wanted to meet right now.

- What are you doing in Water Seven, Kid ?

- My ship has been into rough times and we were running out of food and water. And you ?

- Oh you know, the usual business, she answered ironically while putting her hoodie deeper on her face.

- You take a break ? This isn't the kind of place where I would expect to find you.

- You know so less about me, she laughed. And you keep thinking I'm that innocent little girl running her own life on Grand Line.

- You aren't innocent. There are some pirates who have... experienced you.

- I'm surprised they talked about it, she said sassily.

- I asked them to tell.

- Why would you like to know that kind of things ? Don't tell, I think I don't wanna know.

- Well you've broken some hearts, that's all. I was surprised about your power on men.

- I've learnt how to do. It is a question of survival, she said looking at him for the first time.

He was grinning.

- You should stop running after me like that or I may break your heart too, she said smiling teasingly.
