George Weasley x reader

(this takes place in Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts)

It's your birthday and the only one that remembered was Angelina Johnson, your best friend.

You felt really sad and depressed to which isn't supposed to happen on your birthday no matter how old you are.

You were hoping to have or do  something to take your mind off of your brother. Ever since he died you separated from almost everybody at Hogwarts.

The only people you really talked to was Angelina and George and I guess Hermione sometimes too. They tried to make you feel better but non of them know how it feels to loose your twin. You try not to think about him but you always do when your mind happens to wander on its own.
      When you got to school at the beginning of this year people were blaming Harry for Cedric's death. But you didn't blame him for anything because you knew he didn't do anything to Cedric and he never would. Actually you thanked him for being a good friend to you and Cedric, which surprised a lot of people.

Which meant every body asked why you didn't blame him even though he walked out of the maze carrying Cedric's body. You would just answer with ' because he's my friend ' and people would leave you alone.
        It's 11 pm and you couldn't sleep so you took your wand off your nightstand and quietly left the dorm.

You walked through the common room and saw Zacharias Smith reading a DADA book on a couch. You and him are or used to be good friends until he started to act rudely to almost everyone around him, including my brother because of his popularity. He was having a rough home life so I knew he was just acting like how he is treated at home so i am still friends with him m.

You and him are better friends now and he was there for you when you needed him.

Some would say he likes you but you push that thought away because you have your mind set on someone else.

You managed to get past without him noticing and walked through the halls trying to get to the black lake without filch noticing you were out of your dorm.

It was surprisingly easy considering filch was talking to his cat the whole time. 
       
You got to the black lake and climbed the tree you knew by heart.

The tree has always been a place that calmed you and makes most of your problems go away.

The top of the tree had a beautiful view of hogwarts. You went there every time you felt sad or alone (which was a lot because you thought nobody really cared). You thought about how you and Cedric went from being complete nobody's to being really popular at this extraordinary school and how amazing it is to be here.

After a while of being stuck in your thoughts you heard a noise below you. You looked down and saw a familiar redhead. 
       " George?" you asked. He looked up and smiled at you. You couldn't help but blush and smile back.
        "  Do you mind if i..." he asked pointing up at the branch beside you. You shook your head and he climbed up and sat beside you. 

There was a cold breeze that sweeped by and you couldn't help but shiver. You noticed George smile and take off his Jacket.

Before you could ask him what he was doing he had already wrapped the jacket around you. It was black with a gryffindor lion on the shoulder. You couldn't help but blush when you noticed George was staring at you. 
                 " It's not nice to stare" you said teasily turning to look him in the eyes.

His cheeks turned a light shade of pink and he quickly looked away. There was a fuzzy but warm feeling in your stomach when you saw him smile. You quickly realized you were now staring at him and went to look away when his eyes locked with yours. His eyes looked like milk chocolate and you could see a bright glimmer of lust in his eyes.

There were a few more moments where you were just gazing in each others eyes, then his eyes slowly drifted to your lips. But he quickly looked away.
           " so...erm.. i was w-wondering if.." He started. you couldn't hold it in anymore. You kissed him right then and there only thinking about him in this moment. It didn't take anytime for him to kiss back. The butterflies you knew oh so well returned and it wasn't until you were sure you both needed air that you pulled away. 
           " I'm sorry. what were you wondering?" you asked kind of embarrassed by your actions. George Just smiled at you and you actions.
     " i was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?" he asked his voice full of anticipation. You kissed him again and he took that as a yes.
         " One second.." he said breaking the kiss. You frowned because you didn't know what he was doing and why he pulled away.

He was looking around his pockets for something. What is he doing?
              " found it!" he practically yelled. 
       " found what?" you asked. He gave you a small box wrapped in paper. You silently laughed at how poorly the box was wrapped.
        You slowly started to unwrap the box expecting it to be a prank. But nothing out of the ordinary happened as you opened it.

In your hands was a leather box, the kind of like the box people have for their glasses. You opened the box cautious but curious. You picked the peice of jewelry. There in your hands was a golden chained necklace.

The necklace had four different charms on it. A badger, a lion, a snake, and a raven. 
      " Do you like it?" George asked you taking your hand.
    " No. Georgie i don't like it" he frowned, " i Love it" you happily corrected him. He put the necklace on you and you guys walked back into Hogwarts hand in hand.
