Young!Remus Lupin x reader

Tears were slowly streaming down your face messing up the little amount of make up you put on.

You and your boyfriend Remus Lupin have been going out for three months and you both love each other. You are a Pureblood Slytherin and he is a halfblood Gryffindor but the love you have for each other is so strong you didn't care about what other people thought, you just went for it and did almost everything together, with the rest of the marauders most of the time but you loved it. 

You and Remus are now standing in the girls bathroom on the third floor. I know it sounds strange but that is where you two went for some alone time away from everything and everyone. Well, everyone except moaning myrtle, who it turns out, once you get to know her,  you realize that she is not that bad. You dreaded what you were about to do but Remus' safety is the only thing you care about right now.

" i can't d-do this anymore..."  you whispered to him trying not to let out the sobs that want to escape your throat. there was a few seconds of silence that followed your statement until Remus spoke. 

" What do you mean Y/N?" Remus asked clearly also trying to be the strong one and not cry. 

" I just don't think i love you anymore.." you lied.

You looked up at him. He had a blank expression on his face but you could tell you are breaking him just by the small tear that left his hazel eyes. It hurt you seeing him like this but this is the best thing thing to do for him and the marauders i guess. A quiet sob accidently left your throat and you collapsed on the ground with tears blurring your vision. 

Without saying anything to you or Myrtle, who was watching the scene, Remus ran out of the bathroom with a shattered heart inside his chest. He barely made it to the Gryffindor common room without crying and breaking down. 

" Thank Merlin your here we- Moony?" Sirius and James saw the broken boy in front of him and quickly went to his aid.

Remus didn't feel like talking about it but he knew as a fact that Padfoot and Prongs would keep pestering him about it, so he opened his mouth to tell them about what you said but instead of words, sobs came out along with even more tears that quickly blurred his vision. 

Once Remus finally calmed down enough to talk about it, he told them everything that you had said to him.

Sirius and James had never seen Remus  with this many years or this broken before in the six and a half years they have known him. To them, the break up didn't make any sense at all because just last week you and Remus couldn't get your hands off of each other for even one second , so they decided that they were going to get to the bottom of this. 

It has been three days since you broke up with Remus. You have skipped all of your classes with him and you can't even bring yourself to eat a piece of toast at dinner.

Your house mates don't really care about your feelings or your well being and if they do they are too scared to actually confront you about them. 

There is only one person in the whole school that knows about what your going through and why you broke up with Remus, and that is your best friend Maxine Stillwater. She may be a Gryffindor but she is like the twin sister you have always wanted. I know your wondering why your friends with many Gryffindors and not Slytherins but you made friends with Maxine on the train ride to Hogwarts and you trust her with your life, you actually trust a lot of your Gryffindor friends with your life. 

You and Maxine are sitting up against the trunk of the willow tree that is right next to Black lake. It is where you go to talk to each other about stuff that's going on in your lives. You mostly do the complaining about your life and Maxine is the one that comforts you but sometimes the roles are switched.
