Lily Evans x Reader

It was a rare sunny afternoon and everyone was outside enjoying the warmth that hardly ever comes around. Even the professors were coming up with random excuses just to take a relaxing walk outside the walls of Hogwarts. You could see students hanging around their friends with a book in hand. Some were actually reading others were talking and laughing with their friends. You could also see a mix of different houses playing Quidditch in the distance, and honestly you were surprised that James and Sirius weren't over there playing with the others. To be completely honest all of you were too wrapped up in your own things to even care about the world around you.

Remus was sitting with a back against the trunk of the willow tree (A/N: not the whomping willow) that was providing some shade for the rest of you, with Sirius dozing off in his lap and a book in his left hand, the other playing with Sirius's hair. James was laying on his back, doing this muggle thing called cloud gazing, with his boyfriend Regulus, and they were laying beside each other, both wearing wide smiles. Peter wasn't here with you at the moment but you had recently got him to finally ask out the girl he liked, so that's probably what he was doing.

Alice was sitting on a patch of grass beside Frank, as he told her one of his many stories that Alice was honestly quite fond of, even though she might never actually admit it. And Lily was sitting, also against the willow tree, with you laying your head in her lap as she made you a crown made of flowers. You admired the way her sherry rd hair swayed slightly to the left as the warm breeze came through, with your e/c eyes shining with love and an adoring smile spread across your lips.

"Has anyone ever told you it's not polite to stare?" Lily teases playfully, snapping you out of your little trance.

"I can't help it Lils..you're just so beautiful" You say with your voice full of happiness that anyone could hear. Lily blushed and finished with the crown.

"Such a charmer" Lily mutters on a playful tone making your smile shine somehow brighter.

".. Alright, here you go" Lily places the crown on your head and smiles in some sort of satisfaction when she sees how perfect it looks on you. You adjusted it slightly so that one of the flower petals wasn't in your eye and when you were done, you leaned up and placed your lips on Lily's gently. She happily kissed back lovingly, the kiss was slow and sweet, and it felt like the world, maybe even time itself, stopped around you.

"Oi! Get a room!" James called playfully from his spot on the ground. You pulled away smiling brightly and looked into Lily's eyes, you laughed quietly when you saw that Lily was pointedly glaring at James. You started messing with your crown and for some reason that got Lily's attention and her gaze turned back to you.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, you started giggling uncontrollably as you sat up slightly. You got confused looks from everyone around you, including James who actually knew what he said a few minutes ago wasn't that funny. After a few moments Lily couldn't contain herself anymore and started giggling along with you.

"Why are you laughing?" Remus asks curiously setting his book down beside him and wrapping both arms around Sirius's slightly smaller body. You stopped laughing for a brief moment and looked at him then to everyone else that was looking at you the same way, and you couldn't help it. They just looked so confused and you couldn't help but keep laughing along with Lily.

"I don't--don't know why we're laughing" Lily says while trying to stop laughing as she wipes tears from her eyes with the back of her hand "But Y/n's laugh is contagious as hell"

"But you love that about me" You smiled at her cheekily before realizing what you said.

"I do love that about you" Lily replied lightly with a small smile playing at her lips that is directed at you. You smiled lovingly and sat on her lap gently.

"You love me?" You asked resting your forehead on hers and your hands grabbed hers.

"Oh um y-yeah i do, but i understand if you-"

"I love you too Lils" You say softly kissing her quickly before moving your head to sit in the crook of Lily's neck.

"You two look cute together" Alice comments and Frank nods in agreement as he gives Alice a light kiss on the head.

"Hey! What about us?" James asks motioning his hands from him to the younger boy beside him as they still lay smiling on the ground.

"Yeah do we not look cute together?" Regulus jokes intertwining his fingers with James's, with his cheeks tinted a light shade of pink that you can't see to the untrained eye. You and Lily both rolled your eyes at the two of them.

"You two look just as cute together as they do" Alice says trying to lighten the mood.

"But we want to look cuter than them!" James complained in a very dramatic tone as he throws him and Regulus's intertwined hands in the air, making Regulus bite back a small laugh.

"Let it go Prongs, and just accept the fact that we're cuter than you" You told him smiling in a teasing manner making James put on a fake hurt look on his features.

"You are not!"

"Yes we are!"

"No we're the cutest!"

"No you are not!"

"Yes we so are!"

"No you absolutely are-"

"Children! Children!" Remus practically yells stopping the bickering between you and James, and before he continues what he wants to say Remus takes a slight glance at Sirius to make sure that he didn't wake him then glares at you two "As much as watching you two bicker over something as stupid as this, is amusing we don't want to wake Pads so will you please just shut up"

"Okay, we're sorry Moony" You and James say in unison then at the same time glare each other still having a silent argument over which couple is the cutest, which everyone knows will go on for the rest of their lives. With one last glare, you turn your attention back to Lily who was staring at you in a sort of amusement.

"We are so much cuter than them" Lily whispers to you making a grin spread on your features from ear to ear.

"Hey we heard that!" Regulus speaks up also with that a smile on his face that hasn't left the whole time you have been there. You sighed as your gaze turned to him and James again and you glared at them softly while shaking your head slightly, and you were about to look away when your gaze landed on a small patch of flowers next to the two boys. You give Lily a light peck on the lips before standing up and walking over to the patch of flowers. As you picked some up, you noticed that you were again getting curious stares and you smiled innocently at them.

"What? I'm braiding them into Sirius's hair"
