Killian and Regina find Tinkerbell sitting against the wall on the floor outside the locked room.
Tinkerbell looked up and said, only half joking, "Took you long enough."
"Sorry love. We had to make sure Cora was secure before leaving," Killian told her.
"Makes sense. Sorry I'm not exactly a patient fairy," Tinkerbell replied. Spying Killian's hook, she said, "Oh I'm sorry I meant to return that earlier but then Regina came back with Cora and it slipped my mind."
"It's okay love. I understand. Now shall we check out this room?" he said.
Regina said, "Just give me a moment. Oh may I borrow your hook for a moment? I need to prick my finger."
Killian held out his hook and Regina pricked her finger on the tip. Then she walked over to locked door and pressed her bloody finger to the door. It opened inward with a woosh revealing a long room filled with floor to ceiling packed bookcases. Tables lined the room in straight line from the door to the windows at the very far end of the room. The tables were also piled high with a myriad of items...potion ingredients, vials, beakers, books, and oddities.
They all groaned. This was going to take forever to go through everything just to find out Cora's plan for Killian.
Killian asked, "Is there a spell either of you could use to speed up the searching or at least narrow down the area we need to search?"
Regina and Tinkerbell looked at each other trying to think of a solution. After a few moments, Tinkerbell said, "Possibly. But it may not work...mainly because we don't know exactly what we're looking for. It's not like she's going to have it labeled 'Plan to Destroy Captain Hook' or something similar."
"It's worth a try, isn't it love?" Killian asked.
"I suppose it couldn't hurt. Regina, I'm going to need your help," she said.
"Of course. What do you need me to do?" Regina replied.
"Join hands with me and recite this spell with me," she said, writing down the spell she needed.
Regina nodded and took the paper and committing the spell to memory, joined hands with Tinkerbell. They recited the spell and as soon as they were done, a book came flying off a shelf at the far end of the room, flying straight at Killian. He couldn't catch it fast enough so it hit his chest and fell to the floor opened to the information they sought.
Catching his breath and rubbing his chest where the book had hit him, he said, "Guess it worked." He bent over and picked up the book and read. "Well that didn't tell me anything I didn't already know."
"Are you kidding me? All that time and she actually told us everything," Regina said incredulously.
"Read for yourself," he said, handing Regina the book.
She took the book and read in disbelief. "I can't believe it. She actually told us everything," she said dumbfounded. Then she turned the page and said, "Well almost everything. Though not sure why she wanted me out of my prison cell when she's the one who set me up to get arrested."
"Guess you'll get to have some fun torturing your mother after all," Killian said.
Tinkerbell said, "Your mother set you up? Why would she do that?"
"Because I pissed her off apparently. Not sure how though...maybe cause I ignore her and avoid her at all costs. Who knows with that woman," Regina said.
"Back to the Jolly Roger then ladies?" Killian asked.
"Yes I have a few questions for my mother...and I use that term loosely," Regina said.
"Should we lock the room back up?" Tinkerbell asked.
"Yes there's a lot of dangerous stuff in here," Regina replied.
They left the room taking the book with them. Regina re-sealed the room using her blood magic and then with a wave of her hand whisked the three of them back onto the Jolly Roger arriving outside Cora's torture room.
Tinkerbell excused herself and went into Killian's quarters not caring to see what Killian had done to Cora and definitely not wanting to see what Regina was going to do to her.
Killian pricked his finger with his hook and pressed his finger to the sealed door which opened with a woosh. They entered the room to find Cora still shackled but no longer unconscious. She was awake and beyond pissed off.
"About damn time," Cora whispered, barely able to talk as she had been screaming for help for awhile.
"Aww did you miss me mother?" Regina asked, not really caring. "We found out some more information at your house. I have a few questions for you now."
Killian asked "Do you want me to stay or go?"
"Go be with Tinkerbell. Besides I'm sure my mother won't be very forthcoming and may come to an unfortunate end," Regina answered.
"Aye well then let me know when you need help disposing of the body," Killian replied smirking at Cora. Regina simply nodded.
Killian left and went across the corridor.
A/N: The library picture at the beginning of the chapter is not quite what I describe in the chapter, but the best one I could find that suited my purposes.
