Chapter 4: Maybe Some Answers

Mr. Smee stammered, "No no Captain I can't. I...I...I don't remember."

"Can any of you answer my questions?" Killian bellowed.

The crew all looked around at each other, shaking their heads confused. "No Captain we cant."

"Well crap. Now what?" Killian asked of Tinkerbell.

"I'm not sure. Give me a few minutes to think," she said.

"Sure love," he said. Then turning back to his men, "Mr. Smee please go see about getting our supplies restocked. I thought I made arrangements for them last night and paid for them, but now I'm not so sure. Take 4 men with you. The rest of you get back to the Jolly Roger and clean it from stem to stern."

"Aye aye Captain," they all replied. And they got up to do as their captain had asked.

"So does this poppy seed dust have the power to make people forget events entirely or remember things that may not have happened," he asked his blonde fairy, as she was definitely his fairy now.

"Not that I'm aware of. This has the markings of a witch all over it. Pissed any witches off lately?" she asked her pirate captain as he was definitely hers now.

He runs his hand through his hair and says, "Possibly, maybe, yeah."

"Which is it? Possibly, maybe, or yeah?" she asks impatiently tapping her foot.

"Yes I've pissed off a witch, but not recently."

"How long ago? Which witch? What did you do to her?"

"About 5 years ago. Cora. Double-crossed her."

"Yeah you're a bit screwed then," she tells him smugly.

"I'm very aware of that, love," he says quietly.

"Any idea of why she waited so long to get back at you for double-crossing her?"

"No. Other than this is the first I've been in port here since that time. This is the first opportunity she's had to get revenge on me."

"Okay but why put your entire crew to sleep and you and make you remember some things and them nothing? What purpose does it serve?"

"I have no idea love."

"Sorry I'm really just thinking out loud, not actually asking you the questions. Just trying to puzzle it out," she tells him.

"Aye that makes more sense then," he says chuckling.

"Actually I may know someone who can help us figure out what Cora's up to," she says.

"Who?"

"Regina."

"Why would the Evil Queen help us figure out what her mother us up to?"

"Because of three reasons. One she's a witch. Two she hates her mother. Three she owes me a favor."

"Okay but one problem. I think she's locked up in Queen Snow's prison," he tells her.

"You telling me your afraid to break into a prison and bust her out, pirate," Tinkerbell says challenging Killian.

"Oh not at all love. Just didn't think I'd ever hear a fairy suggest a prison break," Killian said, "you've certainly surprised me."

"Oh I'm full of surprises," she says.

"I'm sure you are love. I'm sure you are," he says, even more intrigued by her.

They sit down at a table and discuss how best to break Regina out. Once they have made their plan, they leave the pub to gather supplies and make their way to the hidden entrance of the castle jail.
