Neverland
Tinkerbell woke and realized that today marked four years that she had been in Neverland. Four years of toeing the line because she had seen first-hand what Pan did to those who disobeyed him - beatings and torture was the norm. Four years of every day and night praying Killian would find her. Four years of watching and waiting for the right time to try and escape on her own. Today was that day. Pan would be going to Skull Island today. What he did there and why he went was a mystery to her. All she knew is that he was gone for most of the day and always took his most trusted Lost Boys with him. The ones left behind could care less what Tinkerbell did as they were enjoying the freedom of Pan not being there.
Tinkerbell got up and quickly dressed and went to grab breakfast. She knew she had to do the breakfast dishes once everyone had eaten but then she was free to do what she wanted. She was informed when she got to the kitchen area of their camp that Pan had already left about 15 minutes earlier. She nodded and thanked the young boy, whose name she couldn't remember, and took the plate of food he gave her.
She quickly ate and then began on the dishes while the other boys finished up eating. Once she had done all of them, she ran back to her tree house and grabbed her bag of supplies she had hidden and snuck out of camp.
She had secretly been building a small boat on the far side of the island for 2 years and as of the previous week it was finished. She knew it was waterproof but wasn't so sure she'd make it all the way back to her realm on it. Her best hope was that she was far enough away from Neverland when her boat sank that hopefully there'd be another ship nearby that would rescue her.
She made it to her boat undetected and pushed it into the water after loading the supplies she had brought with her plus the ones she had hidden there slowly through the years. Then she climbed in and picked up the oars that had taken her 6 months to make and began rowing her boat out to sea.
Getting over the breaking waves was the hardest part. But eventually she made it over them and thankfully without losing any of her precious supplies. Once past that part, rowing was a bit easier. She wanted to rest so badly but she was still too close to Neverland to stop now. Plus the incoming tide was fighting against her - pushing her back to Neverland.
After about 3 hours of rowing non-stop, she could no longer see Neverland and the tide was no longer fighting her. She decided she'd rest for a few minutes and get something small to eat. Once she had done that, she picked up her oars and kept rowing. She rowed for another 3 hours and rested and ate briefly again before once more picking up her oars to row. She hadn't rowed far when she heard something she had never wanted to hear again - the Lost Boys yelling her name!
"NO! NO! NO! How did this happen? How did I wind up back here?" Tinkerbell thought to herself.
Then she hears something far worse - "THERE SHE IS! ON THAT BOAT!" Tinkerbell wonders if she jumps overboard if she can swim away from them. But realizes that she'll either wind up drowning or back at the island.
To get a few minutes extra of freedom, she puts down her oars and let's the waves push her to shore. The waves are calm now as she's heading back to Neverland, not big and scary and trying to crush her like when she left. It's like the waves are welcoming her back - back to a hell ruled by an evil tyrant.
Frantically she realizes that she has something Pan can never find. She reaches for the bag closest to her and grabs the small leather pouch and the amulet from the bag and shoves them into her boot. And just in time too as she feels the boat hit the sandy beach of Neverland.
Hands grab her and yank her out of the boat. She wants to fight back but her arms, shoulders, and back ache from rowing. Plus she knows it will only make what is about to happen worse if she fights back.
Pan grabs her face and forces her to look up at him.
"Nobody leaves Neverland without my permission!" He says through gritted teeth. "NOBODY!"
"I'm I'm s-sor--" Tinkerbell stammered.
"You do not get to speak," Pan says. He lets go of her face and grabs the cloth out of Felix's hands and ties it around her head and gags her mouth. Then he takes the rope Felix is holding and binds her wrists together, leaving enough rope to act as a leash as he pulls her along back to camp.
As Pan leads her back to camp, with Felix pushing her in the back every time she stumbles, she cries silent tears. The normally rowdy Lost Boys are silent as they walk. They know what's in store for Tinkerbell and it's not going to be good.
Once they reach camp, Pan leads her over to a tree with a low branch hanging down. He loops the end of the rope around the branch several times before tying it off forcing Tinkerbell's arms up and above her head. She's almost forced to stand on her tiptoes to give her shoulders some relief.
Once Pan has tied her up, he walks away. Suddenly he turns back and stalks back over to her and punches her in the face so hard she passes out from the force of the blow.
Awhile later she comes to and tries to open her eyes. The one cooperates, the other one is swollen shut. She tries to make little movement as she doesn't want Pan to realize she's awake. Unfortunately, Felix sees that she is awake and nudges Pan with his foot.
"Oh goodie you're awake. Now the real fun can begin," Pan says loudly getting up from the log he had been sitting on. "Now you find out what happens when someone tries to leave without my permission."
He walks over to her and picks up a long switch that was laying nearby on the ground. He walks behind her and hits her across the back with the switch. She cries out in pain though it's muffled because of the gag in her mouth. He hits her over and over with the switch until the back of her shirt is nothing but bloody shreds. Then he has Felix cut her down.
She collapses on the ground in such excruciating pain - pain worse than when Blue took her wings and magic from her.
Pan bends down and says to her, "Don't ever try to leave without my permission again cause if you do I can promise you it will be the last thing you ever do." Then looking up at Felix he says, "Take her to her tree house and get her cleaned up. Post a guard to keep watch, though I doubt she'll be trying to go anywhere anytime soon."
Felix nodded and motioned one of the other older Lost Boys over to help him pick Tinkerbell up and carry her to her tree house. He sent another boy to get medical supplies and bring them to him.
They got to the tree house and laid Tinkerbell face down on her bed. They removed the cloth gag and her shredded shirt. She didn't care about them seeing her undressed as she was in too much pain to give a damn about anything.
As Felix tended to her wounds, she just laid there silently crying - crying because she was in pain, crying because she didn't succeed, but mostly crying because she missed Killian so damn much.
Finally Felix was done cleaning up her back and her eye. She asked him to help her to the bathroom area so she could relieve herself. He helped her sit up and put on a loose shirt to cover her nakedness up and then helped her walk behind the curtained off area. Once Felix left her alone, Tinkerbell removed the amulet and small leather pouch from her boot and put them back in her hiding spot. Then quickly she relieved herself so Felix wouldn't get suspicious and come back too soon. When she finished, she called for him. He helped her back to bed and had her lay back down on her stomach and then he left.
Finally alone, well almost alone as there was a guard outside her door, she prayed once more for Killian to find her soon and then passed out from pain and exhaustion.
