Chapter 18: In Hiding

The next morning, Killian and Tinkerbell wake up and stretch out their sore bodies - sore from sleeping on the hard ground. They dress and eat some breakfast. Not sure what to do with the rest of their day in hiding, Tinkerbell asked Killian to tell her about his life.

"Why do you want to hear about my past, love?" he asked her.

"Because I want to know the good, the bad, and the ugly. All the things that happened to you in your past contributed to the man you are now - the man I love with all my heart," she told him.

"Ahh well it's a bit of a happy start, then descends into a sad story, then a not-so-great story, and then a very not good story," he said.

"And I want to hear it all, Killian. Don't leave anything out...well maybe skip over some of your female conquests," Tinkerbell says.

"Well then, hear it ye shall, love," Killian said. "I was born in 1811, the second son of Brennan and Alice Jones. I had one brother, Liam. I have another brother, but I'll tell you about him later. My mother died when I was young. My father wasn't a good man or a good father, but he did try. He ultimately failed but he tried. We were on a ship, my father, brother, and I , sailing for...I don't remember where. Anyway, one night my father put us to bed and the next morning when I woke up he wasn't there. The captain of the ship told us that my father had sold us into his servitude in exchange for a rowboat off the ship. Apparently my father was a fugitive from the law and they had gotten word that there were soldiers at the next port, and my father didn't want to be caught, so he left his sons and escaped. Years later, Liam and I were able to escape from the servitude when Liam indirectly killed the captain, John Silver. We were offered a commission in the King's Royal Navy. We served bravely for many years, until we were on a secret mission for our King to this realm, that caused Liam's death. Liam died because it turned out our King was corrupt. I decided I could no longer serve a corrupt King, who knowingly sent my brother to his death. I became a pirate and sailed the realm, looting villages, drinking excessively at taverns, bedding many women - of which I will say no more at your request."

"I'm sorry about your mother. I'm sorry your father left you and your brother to a life of servitude. I'm sorry your brother died," Tinkerbell said softly. "Tell me more about your adventures."

He pulled her close to snuggle against him and told her of his adventures. He told her about meeting Milah and how she left her family for a life of adventure with him. He told of how years later, Milah's husband found them, and challenged Killian to a duel. He told of how Milah's husband ripped out her heart, and as she lay dying in Killian's arms, he cut off Killain's hand. He told her that what 'the crocodile' had done set him on a path to revenge...revenge against 'the crocodile.' He told her that he collects the rings from his murder victims as trophies. He told her about his time spent on Neverland and the evil Peter Pan. He told her about meeting his father again and discovering that he had a half-brother, who Brennan had also named Liam. He told her how he killed his cowardly father, leaving his half-brother an orphan, as the boy's own mother had passed away as well. He told her about meeting Captain Nemo and about his time on the Nautilus. How it turned out that Nemo's first mate was his grown half-brother, Liam and how Liam tried to kill him, but he escaped. He told her how he spent the remaining years between then and meeting her seeking revenge against Rumpelstiltskin a.k.a. The Dark One.

"The Dark One! Are you insane? Do you really think you can kill the Dark One? No one has been able to kill him in years," Tinkerbell said alarmed.

"Out of all that I have just told you, that is the thing you want to talk about love," Killian teased.

"Well it seemed safer than asking more about your relationship with Milah or digging into the why you killed your father," Tinkerbell told him.

"True," he chuckled. "I may be a little insane going after the Dark One, but as of late, I don't feel the need to go after him anymore."

"Oh and why's that love?" she asked.

"Oh I don't know, might have something to do with this beautiful blonde fairy I met a few days ago," he said softly kissing her.

She broke the kiss, and mumbled against his lips, "You're trying to distract me from asking questions."

"Not really, I'm just trying to make the most of the time we have love," he said kissing her again.

She sighed, giving into temptation, and kissed him back. In short order, their clothes were off and Killian was inside her, making love to her. Making her his once again....over and over again for several hours that day into the night, before falling to sleep wrapped up in each other's arms.
