Chapter 27: Escape, Death, and A Dark Curse

- Nine Years Later -

Wish Realm - Alice's Cottage

Alice tossed and turned in her sleep in the midst of a dream. She awoke with a start. She needed to get to her father. A woman he loved was in trouble and needed his help. She rushed to get dressed and ran from her cottage. She ran past Rumpelstiltskin, who sat at his spinning wheel. She ran through the woods to the resistance camp where her father lived.

As she neared the camp, Robin, who was standing guard, stopped her. "Hey what's the hurry? What happened?" Robin asked her.

"I-I need my papa. He needs to go help someone. She's-she's in trouble," Alice said as she tried to catch her breath.

"Okay. Okay. I'll go and get him," Robin said. She left Alice and ran to wake up Hook.She got to Hook's tent and called to him - you only make the mistake of startling a man with a hook for a hand once before learning your lesson.

Hook poked his head out of his tent and said, "What's up, Robin?"

"Alice is here. She said she needs to see you. Something about someone being in trouble - that they need your help," Robin told him.

Hook rushed past Robin to see his daughter. He stopped about four feet from her, knowing if he got any closer, his poisoned heart would trigger and cause him so much pain.

"Starfish, what's the matter? Robin said someone's in trouble and needs my help," Hook asked her.

"On the beach where you met her, that's where you'll find her. Hurry, Papa! Tinkerbell is in a lot of trouble. Her life is in danger," Alice told him in a rush.

"Tinkerbell? Are you sure, Starfish?" Hook asked, not quite believing what his daughter was saying.

"Yes, Papa, I'm sure," she said softly. "You must hurry."

"I will, Starfish, I will," he said and took off running towards the beach where he met Tinkerbell.

Neverland/Wish Realm

Tinkerbell was asleep in Felix's treehouse, her once a week reprieve from Pan, when she was woken up by being shaken awake by Felix. "What the hell, Felix?" she asked him.

Felix handed her the amulet and small leather pouch that she thought was lost. "You have to leave Neverland, Tinkerbell. Pan has come up with his most diabolical plan for you yet. You will not survive this one. Take this magic bean and leave here and don't ever look back," he told her.

"How did you get the bean, Felix? And how do you have my things?" she asked.

"I stole the bean from Pan. As for your things, I found them 15 years ago when Pan sent me to pack your things to move you in with him. You had them hidden away, so I figured they were special to you and that you wouldn't want Pan to know about them, so I took them and hid them in my treehouse," he told her. "But you need to go now. Before it's too late."

She grabbed her things and the bean from him. She kissed Felix on the cheek and gave him a hug goodbye. "Thank you for being my friend and doing your best to protect me from him. You know he's going to kill you if he finds out you helped me escape, don't you?"

"I do. But if he follows you, be prepared to kill him in order to survive, because if you don't he will certainly kill you. Being your friend was easy and I do not want your thanks. I just want you to be free and happy," Felix told her. "Now stop stalling and go."

She nodded and ran from the treehouse. She ran through the forest, frantically trying to think of a place to portal to using the magic bean. Finally, she realized where she needed to go - the beach where she first met Killian. She threw the bean and when the portal appeared, she ran through it to the beach in the Enchanted Forest.
