Chapter 24: "Coming back"

Nalilito yung mga mata ni Liam.

"What do you mean? Im a bit confused." Ani Liam.

I exhaled deeply sabay dahan-dahan na bitaw sa pagkakahawak ni Liam.

"I heard you and Rex talking when we were at the library kahapon."

"And then?"

"I heard you saying that everything was just a plan." Hindi ko na inilaborate because I know he knows what im talking about. His eyes were still confused trying to remember what he said kahapon then he replied.

"Wait you heard me saying na I planned everything and that all of my gestures toward you was just to make you feel that I really like you when I actually don't am I right?"

"Yes. The moment na narinig ko na yang mga katagang yan I immediately left." Ani ko on a serious voice.

"So it means you didn't hear everything that's been said." May pagkalight mood yung mukha niya.

"I don't have to hear everything because the words I heard that time was good enough to make me believe that everything was just a lie and a set up." I explained pero napansin kong napapasmile pa yung mukong.

"At nakuha mo pang mapangiti-ngiti jan after what you said."

"No its not. You heard me telling Rex those phrases. But you didn't hear me saying that I fell on my own trap." Sambit niya na nakangisi.

"What do you mean?" A bit confused with what Liam's saying.

"You didn't hear me saying that while I was being cheesy and all to you I kinda feel happy seeing you kinikilig all over your face."

Wait im still confused.

"You didn't hear me saying that I always feel excited everytime i wait for you. You didn't hear saying how I was so kilig when I slept on your room. When uhm——— we made out in room."

I feel awkward and confused at the same time. Ano bang pinagsasabi nitong mukong nato. He then hold my hands for the second time around at sticks his eyes unto mine with love and compassion.

"Dwight I actually fell in love with you. I was certain at the first place that I had no feelings for you. But the moment my heart didn't skipped a beat, I know I was falling for you." His eyes with desire was saying it.

I almost buy what Liam is saying pero I wasn't marupok.

"Im not buying this one." Sabay bitaw ko sa mga kamay ni Liam pero nakangisi parin yung mukong.

Inunahan ko siya ng lakad patungong school at napasigaw siya.

"I saw your eyes kilig Mr. Dwight Dela Verde."

I know he was smiling kahit nakatalikod na ako. With the tone of his voice alam kong nakangisi ang mukong na yun. Pero he was kinda right.

His words consoled my hurting heart. He admit it that everything was just planned pero it turned to out be true eventually. Pero part of my mind is telling me, what if this is just another set up because I know he didn't get what he wanted-me confessing my feelings to him and let him know that I actually fell in love with?

Narating ko na ang room and fortunately wala pa yung teacher namin. Umupo ako sa aking upoan then I saw Liam getting inside next to me. Napansin kong nakangisi lang siya habang binabaybay ako.
