The loud music, along with the disco lights, completely engulfed the space. The noise is audible. I took a peek around, expecting to see Ardite. And I didn't fail to notice her. She's with a man named Gabriel. What the heck is she doing with him?
I sighed deeply and moved gently towards them. They were quick to notice me. Ardite only raised her brow, while Gabriel smiled at me. I can feel my brow furrowing already. She simply shrugged and turned her eyes to her 'admirer.' I made a fist, and the thought of it irritates me.
They walked away without saying anything. Gabriel only nodded at me, while Ardite remained silent. What the heck is the matter with her? I thought we were fine?
She became distant and moody again after her mother's birthday. Was she taken in by my joke? I was only joking!
I looked at the girl who clung at me. I cursed her and harashly removed her hands on me. "Fuck off!" I glared at her and she embarassed on what I did.
When I saw Irish approaching, I took a deep breath and composed myself. I gave her a simple smile before welcoming her with a peck on the cheek. I heard her laugh before she looked at me.
"Happy birthday!" I greeted her and she just smiled.
"Thank you,Lorez!"
"How are you?" I asked her.
"I'm perfectly well. My fiance is here, and I was about to walk over to their table when I noticed you. Do you want to join us?" I only offered her a phony grin. Why would I want to be a part of them?
"No, I'm fine here." She looked at me, examining my face if I'm telling her the truth. "I'm serious, I'm fine here."
I simply smiled as she lifted her right brow. She left me with a touch on the shoulder. I drank the beer after opening it.
Ardite was strolling alone when I noticed her. She appears irritated. I called her name, and she came to a halt. She moved her head slowly to meet my gaze. I stood up and took her place. She averted her gaze. I have a feeling something is wrong with us.
"What?"
"Can we talk?" I asked her with a serious tone. She rolled her eyes and went on my table. I can't believe that she'll talk to me. She must, Of course. I don't understand what's going on us.
"What?" I can hear the irritation on her voice.
"Do you drink?" I asked her.
"No," she said in a low voice.
"Good." She looked away and turned her gaze on the dance floor. The party is going wilder. Some are already making out.
"I thought you're hanging out with Gabriel?"
