I don't get why I was worried about someone like Ryder from the moment he left the classroom hurriedly. I wanted to call him, but I didn't have his number and neither could I ask Andy otherwise he would make false assumptions.
Soon after dinner I received a text.
Unknown- Hey! Aarold here. I'm sorry Auly.
I saw his text but didn't reply.
Aarold- Oh come on Auly! I was just joking. Please talk to me.
Again I didn't reply. The next second, before I know, my phone starts vibrating like crazy. After a few minutes I see 78 texts from Aarold. All of them contained a sorry, whether GIF, photo, sticker or text.
Me- What do you want Aarold?
Aarold- I just want you to forgive me Auly. Please.
Me- Fine, but on one condition.
Aarold- Anything.
Me- You have to come to the cafe I work in, drop me and pick me up everyday.
Aarold- I didn’t know that you worked at a cafe. Anyways I’ll come but which one is it?
Me- The Cozy County. The one located near our school. By the way, how did you get my number?
Aarold- I have my ways Auly. I really am sorry. I didn't know it would hurt you so much. It was just a joke.Knowing he wasn’t gonna tell me, I left the subject there only.
Me- It’s ok :)
After that we talked for some time and then I finally fell asleep.
Next morning, I woke up earlier than usual, so I went to the park nearby for a walk. As soon as I went downstairs in my neon sports gear, I saw Mommy and Daddy. They were sitting on the sofa and talking. I went there and hugged them from behind.
“I missed you both,” I said hugging them.
“We missed you too sweetie,” my mother replied.
“Yeah! We missed you guys so much that we might be having another baby so that we can carry him/her around and your absence can be fulfilled,” my dad said, smiling like a fool and looking into mom’s eyes.
“Oh My God! I’m gonna be an elder sister. Yeahhhhhhhhhh!” I exclaimed out of joy.
I’ve always wanted to be an elder sibling because Andrew’s older than me. I was lost in my own world of happiness until I noticed dad leaning into mom. Knowing they were also lost in their own world, I tiptoed out of the house and went to the park nearby. Since Zach’s parents and our parents are really close and used to study in the same university, Zach, Andrew and I have practically grown in this park. We used to play here since we were 3 of what I recall. I actually don’t remember my childhood so perfectly. I just remember that I had a brother with whom I used to play which is Andy. I even don’t have so many photos of when I was a toddler. I just have photos which include only me and not anybody else. Andrew’s got the same kind of photos. From the age of three, we have like loads and loads of photos. Some of Andrew and me, some including only me, some of the whole family and some with the Smiths. I just love watching those photos because they are embarrassing for the 3 of us. I kept jogging until an hour was left before school and hurried home.
I reached home and saw Andrew dancing like nuts and Mom and Dad looking happy. So Andrew must have woken up and heard the news about the baby. He came running to me.
“We’re gonna be older siblings! Yipppeeeeeeeee!” He said, hugging me tightly.
“I know!” I replied with the same amount of enthusiasm.
We then went upstairs to get ready for school.
We both were jumping with joy all time. We reached school, and the first thing we did was to tell Zachy and Syd about it. They were also very happy for us. My whole day went quite well. What I was worried about was that Ryder was not present in class even today. The day got over too soon.
