Till lunchtime, everything was fine. I entered the cafeteria with a smile on my face. Those 3 were looking at me like puppies waiting for their owner to give them food. It was so funny. I went towards them and then told them everything except a few details. Well, many details.

"You fuckin' finally kissed," Syd said after I had finished.

"Holy shitballs!"

"That is a lot," Martha added and I smiled at her for not overreacting like these 2 idiots.

"Yep," I smiled.

"How was it?" Syd asked again.

"I said that at least 100 times now," I replied. We were talking softly so that the others wouldn't listen. Surprisingly, Ryder wasn't there.

"But why did he come to yours?" Martha asked.

"I don't know. I wanted to ask that but I haven't seen him since morning."

We had lunch talking about stuff. I had AP English, so I left a little early because it would become crowded afterward. As soon as I stepped outside the cafeteria, I saw Ryder kissing some girl.
"You fucking asshole!" I hit his chest, throwing something I had in my hand at him and trying to control the river that was about to flow from my eyes. I continued walking and briskly walked to the class. No one was there and that was a relief. I cried a little before I heard the bell ring. Not because he was kissing someone, but because I had become one of those girls who cried over such a boy. Soon, all the students started filling in.

"¡Hola!" he spoke and I instantly recognized the voice. I peeked up from my book.

"Hi," I replied, in a soft voice.

"Why were you crying?" Aarold asked.

"I wasn't," I defended, sitting up straight.

"Oh! Come on, just tell me. I'll kick that person's ass," he said and a small laugh escaped my lips.

"What? You don't think I can fight?"

"It's just that Aarold and fighting, these 2 words don't go together at all," I replied.

"We'll see that but right now tell me why were you crying," he asked again.

"I don't want to be one of those girls who cry over boys," I whispered.

"It's about Ryder. I think I need to put some brains in that pig," he talked to himself, or that was what it looked like.

Soon, Mr. Jones entered and we started the discussion about Pride and Prejudice.

The day got over pretty quickly and later, Zach dropped me off along with the other 2 girls. I thought I would receive a text or two from Ryder, but none. That guy used me. He fucking used me and if he thinks this will get over by a sorry, I am afraid not.

"Earth to Aury!" I was brought out of my thoughts by Andrew who was sitting beside me at the dining table.

"What?"

"I asked you whether you'd come to the game on Friday," he asked.

"That's still 4 days away. Why right now?" I replied.

"Just asking. Jeez!" he muttered.

We were having dinner and Mom and Dad were talking about something related to the NGO.

"I'll come," I said, hoping to see Ryder.

He shrugged in response.

We washed our dishes and were watching television. Andy was busy on his mobile and the best show streaming right now was on the life of rhinoceros. I went to the kitchen to check for snacks to take upstairs. I got some pretzel crisps in a bowl and was about to greet mom and dad goodnight, but I heard their conversation and stopped dead there.
