It was finally Sunday, the day of Lor's funeral. My whole family was invited and our whole group knew about her. The whole group would be there. They were really worried when they found out about all of this. Especially Andrew. He kept on asking me whether it was her that day and finally, I gave in and man you should have seen him go on about how I should have told him and shit.

I quickly got dressed and wore a simple black dress.

"You look beautiful," Dad said, kissing my head.

"Thank you," I replied with a small nod.

We went to the funeral. Andrew had cleaned up pretty nicely. As soon as we reached, I spotted Ryder and his family near the coffin.

"Hey!" I whispered, going next to Ryder. His face was blank. No emotion. When I went near him and greeted him, he just nodded in response.

We all sat into our seats. Sydney's mom, Zach's parents, and Aarold's parents were sitting with my parents and we all children were sitting together. By the time we sat Ryder was nowhere to be seen. I was looking for him, which seemed very obvious. I saw his mother giving me a signal. I went to her.

"Aury thank you so much for coming."

"She had become my best friend, how can I not attend?" I said, hugging her.

"Can you do me a favor?"

"Yeah of course."

"Please find Ryder and give him a shoulder. Tell him it's okay if he doesn't come back here."

"Yeah, I'll do that." I gave her a smile and went off to look for Ryder. I had the car keys, which was a relief. I already knew where he was at. After parking the car quickly, I went inside the park and towards the same bench on which he was sitting the day before. I quietly went and saw him sitting there. He had a lit cigarette in one of his hands.

"What are you doing Ryder? You know that is not good for you." I said trying to snatch it away.

"You are no fuckin' person to tell me what is good for me and what is not," he said.

He looked like he was kidnapped for days and then left. I sat beside him and tried to take the cigarette again.

"Don't you understand the meaning of no?"

"Ryder please listen..."

"No."

"Please, for your mother's sake," I said. He seemed to tense even more after his mother's mention.

"She's worried about you right now. You are not the only one going through the pain! Your parents lost their only daughter and yet you have the guts to disappear without telling someone making them more worried!" He didn't seem to change his expression a bit. "And smoking and drinking won't bring her back so stop harming yourself!" I was almost shouting. I threw the cigar in a bin and started walking towards my car.

"If you have some humanity left, come back and comfort your parents!"

I left for the place where the funeral was conducted. The eulogies were already over and the last sentence I heard of Mr. Kierston was ' ......we shall love her always and forever.'

That sentence itself almost made me cry. I went and took a seat beside Andy, hugged his arm, and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Where were you."

"I'll explain it afterward," I said. How is he so strong?

"Okay."

I saw Ryder walk in and hug his mother who was crying profusely. Thank god he listened.
