"Hey, guys!" I practically shouted to take their attention off their phones.
"Hello, Aury! What's up?" Zach asked, sliding his arm onto my shoulders. That movement kind of made Martha uncomfortable. She needs to get used to it.
"Ceiling, duh! I thought you knew better than to ask that question to me," I said, playfully hitting him.
"Earth to Sydney!" I shouted in her ears to get her attention.
"Yeah! Oh, hi!"
"Who are you talking to?" I asked as I saw her typing.
"No one," she replied.
"I know who it is," I muttered but she did not hear that.
"I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time but..." she played with her hands.
"Just say it," I replied.
"IlikeAndrew!" she spit out faster than a cheetah could run. It seriously sounded like 'ehlelulu'.
A smile formed across my face and Zach's face as soon as we understood what she had said. Martha was blank because she surely did not know about all this.
"Finally," Zach said.
"Wait! You aren't mad? I thought there was some rule like not dating your best friend's brother or shit," she said, in a surprised tone,
"Why would I be? I ship you guys and so do Zach and Martha," I said, looking at them.
"And as for that code, we are way past the best friend line," I whispered, hugging her. Just when she was about to reply, the bell rang. We quickly waved each other goodbye because I had AP Calculus 1st in which none of them was there. The thought of Ryder being there made me smile, I don't know why.
You don't know the reason for many things nowadays!
My subconscious shouted at me.
I quickly picked up my book from my locker and walked to the classroom. I entered the class and many had come, many hadn't. I couldn't see Ryder anywhere. I took my place and kind of hoped that he would arrive soon.
Get over yourself and just admit it!

He did not come and I completed the given work way before time, so I started working ahead of time and revising for the upcoming exams.
The bell rang soon and I went to my next class which was Chemistry.
Cole! I couldn't help but think why Ryder was nowhere to be seen in the hallways as well.
"Hey Cole!" I greeted him as I was brought back from my line of thoughts by his entrance.
"Hey babe!"
"Don't call me that. I hate such names," I huffed out.
"Okay! Chill Aury," he said, hanging a hand around my shoulder.
Chemistry was usual. We saw a few experiments and learnt about some complex reactions. After that, the day went by pretty quickly because I had classes with Syd and Zach and 1 with Martha, which actually went really well. We bonded more than I could think we would. She's like my new girl best friend. I did not see Ryder anytime today. I tried asking Aarold where he was because I had already texted him but he hadn't seen them. Whenever I tried asking, something or someone would come in between so quit it. He would probably be doing some crazy shit. Andrew was having practice so I was going to drive with Zach, Syd and Martha. Syd must have been feeling so weird coming with them in the morning.
