HALIJAH' POV

"Manong Rey, you can go now, po. I'll just call you if I want to go home," I said to my driver when we arrived at my boyfriend's condominium building.

"Sige po, Ma'am," he politely replied. I smiled at him before I alighted from the car.

"Good afternoon, Ma'am," the guard greeted me politely. I replied back with the same energy and went straight.

While I was waiting for the elevator to open, someone stopped beside me. I didn't usually mind someone's business but she's just weird. She often took a glance at me. Just when I couldn't take it, I faced her and smiled.

"Yes?"

Her eyes widened when she, perhaps, fully recognized me.

"Hali. Halijah Amethyst, right? The vlogger?" My smile widened. Some people often asked me before with a tail 'Hari's sister' hitched in. But now, I couldn't help but be amazed. I was recognized without those words after my name, but my own hard work.

She told me she's a fan and asked for a selfie. I wholeheartedly obliged because why not, right? A supporter of mine just asked for my picture with her.

Hari, on the other hand, she's a very good sister to me. The best sister I'm proud to say. I couldn't blame her before when someone recognized me after her name because she's, I could say, everyone's friend. She had a lot of friends reversal to me which were only selective. I chose a friend, wisely. My parents never stopped reminding me to choose a friend that could help me grow as an individual. Oftentimes, they would monitor who I was with. They believed that after the family, friends were the second influenced to your life. It gave such an impact to an individual.

It was constrictive at first, but I just got used to it. They had their reason, and I respect them. They just wanted the best for us. But I couldn't help envying my sister. She had the audacity to make way on her own and disregarded what our parents often said to us. And I couldn't do the same. I just couldn't no matter what. They were my parents. I respected them so much and couldn't go the other way but theirs.

I rang the buzzer when I reached Hashim's condo. It didn't take long and he opened the door. He was drying his hair using the towelette. Fresh from the shower.

"Hi, love." I smiled at him and kissed his cheek. His lips automatically landed on my forehead. Sweet. I went inside when he widened the door's way.

I sat down the sofa adjacent to where he was seated but he tapped the space beside him.

"Come here, I missed you."

I winced. "Isn't it unethical? We're in the same room just the two of us. Of opposite gender. I'm afraid people might talk of us when they see."

He laughed after hearing me. I was...paranoid. Of course, nobody would see us here. Stupid, Hali. I was embarrassed by my own thought considering the possibility of people's say.

Hari's right. You'd lose yourself in the process of proving yourself to other people who cared only for your mistakes.

Because of the thought, I stood and sat beside him, letting him hugged and kissed me.

It was a charm to be loved by someone you loved. I remembered Hari and couldn't help but get saddened. How dare that guy neglected my sister's feelings. Hari was too much for a man. He couldn't ask for more.

It might be somehow true, it's not always the feeling that matters.

"What's wrong?" he asked me when I sighed.

I shook my head. "I'm worried about Hari." I pouted.

"What's wrong with Hari?" he asked, concerned.
