"A land?"

Nagtataka akong bumaling kay Hashim habang kaharap ang malawak na lote.

"Yup! That's your first project." Laglag ang panga ko. It's so wide! "Congratulations on passing the board!" He hugged me from behind. I couldn't believe this.

"A land. Your gift," I uttered in disbelief. I was beyond surprised.

Kumalas ako sa yakap niya at humarap sa kaniya. "You take care of the plans and I'll take care of the construction, at your service, Architect Juryldo— Nezcuda." Nakangiti siyang sumaludo sakin.

Yumakap ako sa kaniya dahil wala akong masabi. "Thank you so much, Engineer Nezcuda!"

Ngayong tapos na ako sa license ay mas maaasikaso ko na ang details ng kasal namin. Kahit busy siya ay nagawa niya pa ring mag-prepare nang ganito. Naging busy siya sa engineering firm niya simula noong natayo iyon. So who would expect that he's gonna prepare a gift this jawdropping way? Hashim was full of surprises.

Nang gabing din 'yon ay sinimulan kong planuhin ang design ng magiging bahay namin ni Hash. It was only an initial plan kaya nag-sketch lang ako.

"Good afternoon, Hari."

"Good afternoon din, Kiana," balik bati ko sa secretary ni Hash. Magkasing-edad lang kami. Maganda at sexy at hindi mo iisiping may binatilyo nang anak. "Si Hash?"

"Nasa loob. Ipapaalam ko ba?" nakangiti niyang tanong. I smiled at her and shook my head.

"No need."

Tumulak na ako papasok at nakita si Hash. He was standing in front of his executive desk, hands on his waist, and eyes with reading glasses intended at the blueprint that was spread on the table. When he felt my weightful eyes on him, he lifted his sight on me.

Ang nakakunot niyang noo at seryosong mukha ay nawala at napalitan ng nakakahawang ngiti. Lumundag ang puso ko sa ngiti niyang umabot sa kaniyang mga mata.

"Here comes my sweet pillow." Iniwan niya ang ginagawa at lumapit sakin. He tended me a kiss and led me to his executive chair. He sat on the edge of the table while sexily rolling the blueprint. Halatang-halata ang mga ugat sa kamay. Speaking of the blueprint.

"Pwede naman tayong umorder nalang ng food at dito mag-lunch. Para na rin hindi maabala ang ginagawa mo. Gusto ko lang naman pag-usapan natin 'yong design ng bahay." He chuckled and amusingly stared at me. Hinila niya ang executive chair palapit sa kaniya at hinawakan ako sa parehong balikat.

"Why do you always have to understand me, huh?"

Tumunghay ako sa kaniya at tinaas ang pareho kong kilay. "And why not? This is for our future. Hindi ba at iniintindi mo rin naman ako when I was still reviewing for the board?" Halos lahat ay siya ang kumikilos noong nag-re-review ako. Pati sa shop ko ay siya rin ang umasikaso.

"Yeah. But not the way on how you understand me in every possible way." Inayos ko ang mga manggas niyang basta nalang nakatupi hanggang siko. "And I told you, the whole house will be under your plans."

"So, kung sasabihin ko na complex at intricate ang gagawin kong designs, ipapaubaya mo pa rin sakin?" nakangisi kong tanong while raising my left brow and roamed my eyes around his office. I couldn't believe I was the one who planned this building.

"If that's what you want. Kahit pa gusto mo ng white sand sa swimming pool. Gagawin ko." I laughed at him.

"Ang corny mo."

He reached the telephone and called Kiana. "What food do you want?"

"Ikaw na ang umorder." Tumayo ako at nagpunta sa couch. Sumunod naman siya pagkatapos kausapin ang secretary niya. Kinuha ko ang tablet saka pinakita sa kaniya ang final plan. "The garage will be in the basement. The ground-floor's content is; wide and spacious sala for the kids. Wide kitchen for my place. A playroom. Our office will be on the ground floor too. May extension hall and minibar. At the back door is the wide playground and there'll be no garden." Nakikinig lang siya habang ang mga mata ay nasa tablet at tinuturo ko naman ang mga sinasabi ko.
