TOO TOONEY

CHAPTER 1 THINGS CHANGE

Location: Human Village (formerly Colorado, America). Friday, August 6th, 3127. 6:29PM.

"Come on, John! We have to go! NOW!" A human mother ordered her very young and terrified 5-year old son as she also grabbed her young, 8-year old and just as equally scared daughter as they were all running for their lives away from the village they had once lived in!

"But what about dad!? He said he would be back! We can't just leave him behind! We need to wait until he comes-" The mother's son, John, pleaded with his mother, but was cut off.

"He's already been gone longer than he said he would be and we can't stay here any longer! The village is being destroyed and I'm sure that those things are still after us! We can't wait any longer! We must get to safety and I don't want to lose you, too!" John's mother spoke to her son as tears began to fall down her cheeks as she and her two children kept running.

After hearing this, John realized why his mom was really leaving his father behind. She knew how John would react if he knew the truth about what had happened to his dad, even though it was clearly obvious to him what had happened to his dad, especially after hearing that last shocking statement from his mom. "Dad isn't coming back! Is he?" John asked as he, too, began to cry.

John's mother didn't respond. The look on his mother's face, though, was enough to confirm his fears.

Unfortunately, for John's mother and her two kids, their sadness was about to turn from sorrow and emotional pain into fear! To the three humans' horror, a bunch of 8-feet tall, spider-like robots had come out of nowhere and were now beginning to surround them! They instantly recognized them as the same machines that had attacked their village!

There was no point in running anymore as within two minutes, all the deadly robots had them surrounded on all sides! The mother grabbed both her children as she pulled them close to her and told them, "I love you!"

Both her children replied, "We love you, too!" After that, they all shook in fear as they all knew what would happen to them next!

One of the spider robots stepped forward and turned one of it's arms into a long and sharp blade which it intended to use to brutally murder the 3 terrified humans in front of it! The 3 horrified humans could do nothing as the spider robot lifted its long, sharp blade and prepared to make mince meat out of them!

Then a miracle seemed to happen! Before any of the spider robots could harm the 3 humans, they all heard a loud noise in the distance that was getting louder the closer the source of the noise was getting!

When everyone saw what was causing the loud noise, they all froze when they saw that the noise was coming from what looked like 4 mysterious humans wearing black and green suits of armor and metal helmets with dark-tinted glass visors that covered the front of their faces. The helmets that they were wearing also prevented anyone from seeing who they all were. The 4 unknown humans were driving futuristic-like hovercars that all appeared to be hovering at least 3 feet off the ground! While no one could tell who these 4 new strangers were or what their exact intentions were, it was clear that whoever they were, they meant business!
