CHAPTER 9 THE RACE AGAINST TIME

Location: Forest. Somewhere in the (former) United Kingdom. Monday, August 23rd, 3127. 9:25PM.

"Where the heck are they!?" Norman spoke as he was still searching everywhere for Nick, David, Charleton and Robert.

Sammy The Bagel and the 3 other humans from New Haven were following close behind Norman as he continued to search for Nick and his friends with no success. They were now helping Norman find their 4 missing companions as they were just as worried about them as Norman was.

After they had regained consciousness back at the beach, Norman had come back and informed them about what had happened. Despite not knowing where Nick, David, Charleton and Robert had gone, they all knew that wherever they had went to, they couldn't have gotten too far from them on foot in the short amount of time that they had been out.

What really bothered them wasn't that they couldn't find them, but rather why they had just disappeared and left them in the first place. It didn't make sense at all! From what they had learned about Nick, David, Charleton and Robert in the short amount of time they had known them, they all knew that none of them were the type of people to just leave, at least not without telling them about it first!

This had led to Norman and the others coming to one conclusion. Nick and his friends were kidnapped! As for who kidnapped them and why, they had no idea.

But whatever the case was, they all knew one thing! They all had a feeling that Nick, David, Charleton and Robert were in grave danger! And wherever they were at, they had to find them before it was too late!

But as they were frantically searching the area around them, they all heard some voices nearby. Hoping that it was Nick, David, Charleton and Robert, they all ran towards the direction the voices were coming from.

It wasn't until they passed through some bushes and out into a empty area that was devoid of trees that they all found the owners of the voices that they had heard. Unfortunately, none of the voices that they had heard belonged to Nick, David, Charleton and Robert, but instead a group of very familiar cartoon characters. It was none other than Doctor Lollipop, Coco, The Toy Story Gang, the Disney and Shrek versions of Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket.

"Norman!" They all cried out in surprise and joy to see him again.

"Guys!" Norman shouted, glad to see them again, too.

Sammy and the 3 humans from The UHR just stood by looking very confused as they didn't know any of these other fictional characters or what Norman had to do with them. So Norman quickly recapped everything that had happened until now. How he used to be Pennywise The Evil, Killer Clown; How he was used by the Empire (previously known as The Anonymous Society) to do their dirty work; How he was cured and rid of the demonic presence that had controlled him for so long and became human again; How he went into cryogenic stasis for all those years before he awoke 2 years ago; and finally how he found and saved the Toy Story Gang, the 2 living, fictional Pinocchio puppet characters and Jiminy Cricket and became friends with them!

Sammy and the 3 humans from The UHR were quite surprised about what they had just heard, especially Sammy! Norman was the very same person who previously tried to do him and his friends in as Pennywise in the most frightening ways possible and he was now nothing more than a normal human being who had completely reformed and no longer wished to terrorize or harm anyone!
