TOO TOONEY

CHAPTER 19 DRASTIC TIMES CALL FOR DRASTIC MEASURES

Location: Wild Kingdom. Somewhere in (former) Kenya, Africa. Wednesday, September 1st, 3127. 7:08PM.

The Commander, Sly and the others were now hiding from the WKPD in the sewers underneath The Wild Kingdom. They had just barely managed to escape with their lives after an hour-long battle between them and the WKPD and they were now in trouble!

During the battle, Hap had gotten hit by another one of those weapons that The Empire had created that could temporarily neutralize all his powers! The only difference this time, though, was that Hap's powers would only be gone for 12 hours instead of 3 days.

The Commander and the others had all put up a pretty good fight, but even with all them together and despite the fact that they had Sly, Bentley, Murray, Cuphead and Mugman, Wreck-It Ralph, Fix-It Felix Jr., Doctor Lollipop, Coco, The Toy Story Gang, The Disney and Dreamworks versions of Pinocchio, the Disney version Jiminy Cricket and Frank and his friends with them who were some of fiction's best and greatest heroes, they had still been overwhelmed by the WKPD! Every time they took out one wave of the WKPD, at least a few hundred more WKPD officers showed up to take their places!

After realizing that they were outnumbered and that they most likely couldn't win without risking suffering some casualties among themselves (at least not without Hap and his powers), The Commander, Sly and the others decided to retreat and they created a diversion to distract all the WKPD officers while they escaped and found somewhere to hide from them. They all knew that they couldn't just leave The Wild Kingdom as all exits out of it were all being heavily guarded by The Wild Kingdom's forces and even if they did manage to get past them, The Wild Kingdom's forces would be right on top of them as there was nothing but a hot and dry, savannah outside the kingdom. There would be no places for them out there to hide from the WKPD! In other words, they would all be sitting ducks!

This is what led them to all remain in The Wild Kingdom and end up taking refuge in the dark, filthy and stinky sewers under The Wild Kingdom. They didn't like hiding there, but if you were on the run from hostile forces and you didn't want to get caught and killed, escaping into and hiding in the sewers would be one of your best chances of shaking the authorities off your trail for the time being!

Right now, The Commander, Sly and the others (except for Hap) were all keeping their noses closed with their hands, hooves and paws in a desperate attempt to block out all the terrible and rancid odors of the sewer system around them! Hap was the only one not bothered by it due to his stupidity and him only thinking about wanting to play games and eat cookies.

"Well, this stinks, litterally!" Hamm complained. "Even Mr. Potatohead's bad, morning breath pales in comparison to this!"

"Hey, pork chop! I'll have you know I brush and floss my teeth at least 3 times every day!" Mr. Potatohead argued.

"I'm no dentist, but you and Hamm are toys. How can you have bad breath?" Doctor Lollipop pointed out.

After hearing that, there was a brief pause between Hamm and Mr. Potatohead as they both took this in. After a moment, Mr. Potohead spoke, "No comments!"

"I may be a dog, albeit a toy dog, but I don't know how much longer I can stand being down here!" Slinky shouted.
