Back to The Commander and Co. at True Justice's secret base in (former) Iceland, everyone was completely speechless by The Emperor's announcement about the coming war. The Emperor's announcement had already ended a little while ago, but they still were quite disturbed by what they had just seen and heard and no one could blame them!

They had just learned that the madman behind this whole mess in the first place was going to launch a full-scale conflict on the whole planet in a bid to wipe them and all other opposition to his and The Empire's authority for good! They could only imagine what lengths he was willing to go to once the war started to achieve that goal and that terrified almost all of them more than anything else!
That is except for David. While David was quite concerned about the war too, what really bothered him was seeing that The Emperor had the girl of his dreams and his soulmate and that she was going to be forced to marry Bowser on the same day as the war was due to start!
He couldn't let that happen! He had to do something!

However, the leaders of the base already had a plan of their own in response to The Emperor's announcement. They would have no choice but to attack Empire City and take the fight to The Emperor himself!
Everyone knew that would be incredibly risky and it was quite likely not all of them would survive such a large assault on Empire City. But they had no other choice as they knew that they were dealing with a very unstable and dangerous man that threatened the entire multiverse!
David was initially on board with the plan too until he found out that they weren't going to actually attack and enter Empire City until the day the war started, which was also when Lesley was supposed to be married to Bowser! If he stuck to that plan, he would be too late to stop that horrible marriage that he was certain that Lesley didn't want!
