Boxed In

We all laid in our beds in the medical room, trying to recover from Arachnitor. I couldn't rest though. I couldn't stop thinking about Jayden or the black box. I mean Jayden had been kidnapped for God's sake! I had to help Antonio finish the black box so we could find Jayden.

I slowly limped my way to the doorway before Em said something. "Allison! Where are you going?"

"Someone needs to help Antonio finish the black box. He can't do it on his own." I slowly walked out to the common room where Ji and Antonio were.

"Allison! Go back to bed!" Ji said worriedly.

"No. Someone has to help Antonio finish the black box and then we have to find Jayden. The black box is the priority, but Jayden is my boyfriend and he's my priority too."

"Well said, Allison." Antonio agreed.

"I may not be in the best physical condition, but I still have all my symbol power left. I just need Antonio to program it and then I can add the symbol powers. Think you can do it, Antonio?"

"This is the ultimate hack job. I like a good challenge. Let's do it." Antonio got up quickly and placed the black box on a pedestal. "Alright first I have to hack in." He used his morpher to hack into the box using his symbol power. It took a couple minutes, but he got it. "I'm in. Now I have to format it to absorb our symbol powers. That's when you take over." I nodded with a smile.

Suddenly Antonio fell to the floor. "Antonio!" Mentor and I yelled. We knelt down to make sure he was ok.

"I'm fine."

"You have to pace yourself when using symbol power." I said. "Don't overdo it."

"And who told me the whole world was at stake here?" He got up and returned to formatting. "Let's try this again."

"Be careful. What you guys are trying to do here is dangerous. Keep in mind, if there's another nighlok attack, Antonio is the only one healthy enough to fight unless Allison can heal in time."

"I'll be healed in no time. Recovery has always been my strong suit." I replied. Antonio kept programming the box and he collapsed again.

"There. Formatting's done. And so is my job here I guess."

"Now come the really dangerous part." Ji said.

"Wait, really?" I asked nervously.

"Yes. Infusing the box with everyone's symbol powers is incredibly dangerous, but I have no doubt that Allison is strong enough to do it."

"Thank you, Ji. And thank you Antonio for programming it. I could never do your tech magic. Let's start infusing."

"That's where we come in." Kevin said as he entered with Mia and Em.

"You shouldn't be out of bed." I said.

"Says you. The girl who did get out of bed." Emily replied.

"Antonio and Allison can't take this on alone." Kevin said.

"I have plenty of symbol power to finish thank you very much." I replied.

"That's not what I meant. We need to help each other. Especially since Jayden's gone." The gap sensor blared throughout the house.

"So what do we do now?" Antonio asked.

"I know what Jayden would say. Protect the innocent at all costs." I said.

"That's golden. You guys fight the nighlok. I'll find Jayden."

"No! You have to take my place and help the rangers while I finish the box." I said.
