Jayden's POV

I watched as my fiancé and my friends got sucked into an inter-dimensional portal. Scott and I got flung back into the water and the professor got away. I demorphed in the water, but managed to climb out eventually. I saw Scott struggle to get up and I leant a hand. "Here, Scott, let me help."

"I don't need your help." He said climbing up with difficulty. I watched as he stood and walked away from me. "I'm fine." I stood and followed him, shaking my head in the process.

We sat on the log piles, facing away from each other. I couldn't get the image of Allison and everyone else being sucked away out of my head. I let my team down and now I can't get back to them. "You're team, they sacrificed themselves."

"Yes. They protect me because they think I'm the key to stopping Master Xandred. And Allison always protects me, even if it means she gets hurt."

"Oh!" Scott started laughing. "Wow. You're pretty full of yourself, aren't you?" Seriously? He's judging me?

"No, it's not like that. And before you make judgments, take a look at yourself. I just can't believe I let her go." I said referring to Allison.

"That green girl?"

"She has a name, you know."

"I know she does, but I don't know it."

"It's Allison."

"I see the way you two look at each other. She must really love you. But it's not your fault she got in the way."

"She saved us. She always saves others."

"Hmm." There was a long pause before I decided to speak up again.

"Do you think Professor Cog sent my team to your world?"

"That's a safe bet. But if they're there, then my team will help them."

I walked into the Shiba house with Scott close close behind. "Jayden, where's the rest of the team?" Ji asked.

"Sucked through a vortex, probably to where this guy came from." I said referring to Scott.

"Yeah, well, it's their fault. They got in the way." Scott said walking past us.

"No they saved us!" I shouted after him. I looked at Mentor one more time before walking to Allison's room.

I looked on her dresser and saw the engagement ring laying there like she does when we go out. I picked up the ring and rolled it between my fingers. It's only been a few hours and yet it feels like centuries. If Scott hadn't showed up, I wouldn't have lost her.

"What's that?" Scott asked.

"None of your business. Why do you insist you on sticking your nose in other people's business?"

"I'm sticking my nose in other people's business? What about you and your team attacking Professor Cog when I could handle him alone? That was my business."

"He's in our world so he is also our business."

"Whatever. I'm not getting into this fight with you. What is that?" I sighed before replying to him.

"It's Allison's engagement ring. She always took it off when we go out in case there's an attack. This way it doesn't get damaged in battle."

"You sure she isn't ashamed of it."

"Excuse me?"

"I'm just saying maybe she takes it off because she's ashamed of being engaged so young. Or she's ashamed of you."
