Emily's POV

I was about to sit down and write my Christmas letter to my sister when Allison walked in. "Hey, Em. Mentor just got an awesome Christmas tree. Come check it out." She looked so happy. A lot happier than I've seen her in a long time.

"I will in a little bit. I'm gonna write my sister a Christmas letter first."

"All right." She walked off with a big smile on her face. I sat down and started writing my letter: Dear Serena, this year has been the most exciting of my life. Ever since, I received the message arrow, it's been a nonstop journey of discovery. It's hard to believe how much my life has changed since that day. I have met the best friends anyone could possibly have.

Allison is so excited for Christmas, I think she might burst. When you meet her she seems really tough and all work no play, but she just lives a very balanced samurai lifestyle. I admire her so much. She's strong, powerful, and full of surprises. She actually introduced me to my first rollercoaster ride. She's kind of like my sister away from home. When she first started, she was very insecure, but never showed it. She's actually the legendary green ranger, but the disapproval she got from her father caused her to lose sight of that. With the team's support, especially Jayden's, she was able to prove herself and finally free herself of the burden her father left on her. She's now more confident than ever and fighting next to her makes me stronger. She even saved me from a nighlok attack and almost got killed in the process. Allison's a true selfless samurai. One day she took on a nighlok all on her own, even defeating the one that killed her parents. I had a lot to learn, though, and Allison helped me. I'm really glad she took me under her wing.

Mia and I became pretty close, too. Allison is not into much girly stuff and she kinda hangs out with Jayden mostly in her free time, so I do a lot of my girl stuff with Mia. She's also an amazing samurai and I learned a lot from her too. There was one time when we had to throw an elaborate fake wedding to trick the nighlok.  Mia played the part of the beautiful bride perfectly the first time around. She always dreamed of being in a wedding, but she never thought she'd have to pretend to marry her friend's boyfriend. That part wasn't so great, but she eventually handed the role to Allison the next time we planned a wedding. The guys even got emotional at the wedding. I really look up to her too.

Just then Mia poked her head into the room. "Hey, Em, do you have any tape left?" She walked over to my desk.

"Yeah, sure. Here." I said handing her my tape dispenser.

"Thank you." She walked out and I returned to my letter.

She's definitely my best friend now.

Allison's POV

I sat extremely still as Kevin and Jayden covered me in Christmas bows. I looked down and sighed at the sight of me. "Guys, I love Christmas, but this is overkill."

"Aw, babe, I think you look like a cute little bow." Jayden said.

"Do you want to kiss a Christmas bow or me?"

"Can't I do both?"

"No, no you cannot." While Jayden turned around to grab something else to decorate me with, I grabbed another Christmas bow and hit it behind my back. As soon as he turned around I slapped it right of the tip of his nose.

"What is this? I thought we were wrapping you not me."

"I think you look better that way." I giggled like a four year old as he looked at me unamused.

Emily's POV

I continued writing my letter to my sister with a big smile on my face. I'm so glad that Jayden has learned to let go and have fun without disobeying Mentor's rules. He's usually very loyal and obedient, but when Allison isn't around, he can go kind of off the rails. When they were kids, Jayden and Allison used to sneak into the woods once a week to see each other. They really have a bit of a rebellious romance, but they're able to be together now. Mentor realized that keeping them apart was more disastrous than leaving them be. They're so great together and bring out the best in each other. Jayden helps Allison with her insecurities and Allison helps Jayden maintain balance between life and samurai duties.
