I sparred with Jayden outside as Mia and Emily practiced with each other. Kevin was practicing alone, but he looked deep in thought. Jayden and I dodged each others hits and blocked others. I pushed his sword down toward the ground and we paused for a second. "You gonna go crazy again?" I asked half joking.

"Shut up and fight, Ally." He said jokingly. We continued to spar until I knocked him onto the ground. I put the tip of my practice sword to his neck and smiled confidently.

"Point." We chuckled as I helped him up until I heard Kevin say something.

"But why?" I heard Kevin say. I turned to see him crouching down and moving rocks. Everyone rushed over to him.

"What's up, Kev?" I asked.

"So far, Serrator has made a series of attacks on us. If he's fighting us and Master Xandred, he must be up to something big." Suddenly Kevin darted into the house and we all followed.

He sat in the common room and opened up the map as we filed in. "Check this out." He started to place dots along the map. "If we put a dot on the map for each recent nighlok attack like I did with those stones outside, this is what we get." The dots didn't seem to form anything to me maybe because I had no clue how there was a pattern. So I decided to pretend.

"Oh, I see it now." I said aloud. "Now what am I supposed to be seeing?" I whispered to Em not so quietly.

"I dunno." She whispered.

"Let him finish, Ally." Jayden said sternly. I shot him a look which made him crack a small smile.

"Well, Serrator doesn't seem like the type of nighlok to just attack randomly." Kev continued, "I'm thinking there must be a pattern. I mean why else would Master Xandred and Dayu attack Serrator? He really got out of there fast." Kevin suddenly got an idea. "Look. If we mark the places where Serrator has appeared or has sent a nighlok himself—"

"They form a line." Mia cut in.

"Oh." Emily said stretching out the word.

"Yeah. This can't be a coincidence. Serrator's definitely up to something." Kev agreed.

"And knowing him, it's probably something really bad."

"Don't worry. Whatever he's up to we'll stop it." Jay assured. I started to feel queasy as the others looked at the map. I touched my stomach lightly and started to back away slowly. "You okay, baby?"

"Yeah, I, uh, have to go to the bathroom." I said sprinting to the bathroom. I began to throw up over the toilet feeling a little light-headed. Jayden came up behind me, pulling my hair back and keeping it away from my face.

"You don't look so good, Ally. You sure you're alright?"

"No." I continued to throw up for a solid 2 minutes before feeling somewhat normal again. I still had some nausea, but I didn't need to puke anymore. There was a thin film of sweat over my forehead and cheeks and I was breathing heavily. Jayden grabbed a towel and ran it under cold water. He felt my head with the back of his hand before looking puzzled.

"Huh." He said.

"What?"

"You don't have a fever." He lifted my hair from the back of my neck and placed the towel there. "Anything else feel weird?"

"No, I'm just a little tired, that's all."

"Understandable, you just threw up all of yesterday's food. Come on, baby. Let's get you cleaned up." I nodded my head and took his hand as he helped me up and walked me to our room.
