Em and I had decided to go out and have fun while everyone else practiced. We had done some training earlier, but I thought we should go out and have some fun. I decided to teach Emily to skateboard, a hidden talent of mine. I did a trick off the railing before stopping.

I had noticed a puddle of red water bubbling in the street. "Em! Get over here!" I called. She came running over to me, skateboard in hand.

"What is that?"

"I think it's Sanzu river water." I whipped out my samuraizer and called Kevin.

"Kevin, I think we got Sanzu water over here."

"We'll be right there." After that I called Jayden.

"Jayden, we've got Sanzu water here."

"I'll be right there." Kevin and Mia got here first.

"I can't believe this is happening." Mia said. Jayden arrived and Kevin walked over to him and talked to him a bit before Jayden reached us. He knelt beside it and watched it bubble.

"I was afraid this would happen." He said. Jayden grabbed a stick and dipped it into the puddle. The stick burned and when it emerged, it was in small flames. "It's Sanzu river water."

"This is not good." Kevin said.

"We've seen the netherworld break through ours before." Emily said.

"Yeah, but this much water is really dangerous." I said.

"And with pools like these the nighlok can rehydrate without even going back to the Sanzu River." Kevin said.

"Guys! Over here!" Mia called. We hadn't even noticed she'd walked away. We ran over to her and saw another pool forming, larger than the last.

"Last time this happened, Mentor said it was a sign that the nighlok were growing stronger." Kevin said.

"Uh, it gets worse." Mia said looking at nighlok footprints walking away. We followed the footprints and when we got to the bridge I studied them more carefully.

"Yep these are definitely nighlok."

"But no gap sensor went off." Mia said.

"I don't think it came through a gap recently. This nighlok's been here awhile." Jayden explained.

"And using those pools of Sanzu water to keep from drying out." Kevin finished.

We followed the trail into the forest where the footprints disappeared, but I could still smell him. I knelt down and rubbed the dirt onto my hand and smelled it. I was kind of like bloodhound in a way when it came to the forest. "Have you lost the trail?" Jay asked.

"It's this way." I said confidently.

"Good job, Allison."

"Yeah these footprints disappeared a long time ago." Kevin said.

"The forest is my turf. I used to sit in the forest every day when I was younger. I always felt safe and relaxed. I can still track him." We saw a bunch if civilians screaming as the nighlok we'd seen before chased them.

"I think we just found him." Jayden said. We morphed and ran down to stop the nighlok. It was Arachnitor yet again. "Hold it right there, nighlok."

"Not this creep again." Mia said.

"He's the one that got away." Emily pointed out.

"That's fine. This time we'll finish him off." Jayden responded. We all charged, but he knocked us down easily and then flew away.
