He Ain't Heavy Metal, He's My Brother

I woke up to an empty bed. I looked around wondering if Jayden had been changing or something, but the room was empty. I heard grunts come from the practice area. I got changed and went out to see Jayden and Em practicing. I had never seen these two practice together before, but I didn't think much of it. I went to get juice from the kitchen when I heard a guitar playing outside. "Does anyone else here a guitar playing?" I asked Jay, Em, and Mentor.

We all walked outside and saw a man playing outside. Jayden cleared his throat to get his attention. "Hi." Jay said. "Can I help you?" The man stood up with a smile.

"Hey, guys. The name's Terry. I'm Mia's brother." Jayden and I looked at each other, surprised.

"How about we go inside?" Mentor suggested. We brought Terry inside and he looked amazed.

"So you're Mia's brother?" I asked.

"Yup. All my life." We chuckled together.

"Well, welcome to the Shiba house."

"Woah, this is cool. So, where is my sis anyway?"

"Oh, she went with Kevin to get some groceries." Em replied.

"You're not gonna let her cook are you?"

"Oh, no. We learned that lesson already." I said. He went and picked up a practice sword.

"Sis is good with a blade, as long as it's not a kitchen knife."

"So what brings you to town, Terry?" Jay asked.

"I'm volunteering at the children's hospital over summer break. My parents think it'll get me into med school down the road.

"Is there a demand for guitar-playing doctors?" I asked.

"This?" He pointed to the guitar on his back. "No, I'm also trying to put together a concert gig. I was hoping Mia would sing."

"Mia sings?" Em asked.

"Oh, she's awesome. When we were kids, we were gonna be the world's greatest band, but, you know, the whole power rangers thing..." As he trailed off, the gap sensor blared.

"Speaking of which." I said as Jayden and I ran off." Emily hadn't followed us so I yelled. "Emily let's go!" We morphed and ran to the sight.

"These moogers have no respect or class." I said as we fought off a hoard of them.

"I think they need to study up on their fighting skills." Jay added.

"Haven't you heard? School's out for the summer." Antonio said. Kevin joined us as well and we jumped from the building to fight moogers on the ground.

"Remember to play nice, kids." I said. We saw Mia and ran up to her.

"Hey, sorry I'm late." Mia apologized. "But it looks like you handled it." We all demorphed and stood in a circle.

"Thanks for the assist, Antonio. I'm glad you were nearby." Jay said.

"Oh, it's nice to feel needed." Antonio said while fake crying. Jayden playfully shoved him.

"Oh, Mia speaking of being needed, we're needed back at the Shiba house." Em said.

"Why?" Kevin asked.

"Mia's brother!" I said. "He's so cool. He's got a guitar and everything."

"Don't tell me you're crushing on this guy." Jay said with jealousy lacing his voice.

"Oh please you're the only guy on my mind." I said placing a quick peck to his lips.

"My brother with his guitar?" Mia asked nervously.
