I couldn't help but force a smile at the many people that wished me happy birthday. The boys did in fact throw me a party and my whole house was filled with friends, and some more people I didn't know.
I bobbed my head to the music going to the kitchen and grabbing a drink. I was not going too hard tonight, because I needed to make sure that my house was in one piece. I was not going to let this party get out of hand.
I turned around to see Leigh-Anne standing there crossing her arms with a huge smile on her face.
I stood there staring. She wore a tight red dress with red lipstick with her curly hair half up and half down.
She looked amazing.
"Happy Birthday." She walked over and then she started singing.
I couldn't help but smile genuinely this time as she sang me Happy Birthday. Even if the music was loud, I still focused on her beautiful voice.
"Thank you.", I pulled her towards me wrapping my arms around her waist. Which took her by suprise, this was the most affection I've ever shown to her around other people and I knew she was thinking about the same thing.
"Look, I knew you didn't get the chance to celebrate your 18 birthday so here-", I let go of her briefly and took a box out of my pocket.
She looked at me warily and I opened it up to a silver cross diamond pendant. I've had it with me even before she ended up in the hospital. I held on to it for months just so that I could give it to her.
"Oscar you shouldn't have. It's beautiful" She stared at it her eyes twinkling in happiness.
"Turn around." I removed the necklace out of the box and she turned around holding her hair up as I clasped it together.
We both looked down at it once she faced me..
"You look beautiful tonight." I whispered looking down at her.
"And you look really handsome." She complimented back making me blush.
I tilted her head up and my lips connected with hers.
I was reinstating my claim. I was making sure everyone saw it and I knew we had eyes on us.
She was mine again.
When we pulled away she tried to hide her smile.
"What has gotten into you?" She asked and I just shrugged.
"Another year older,another year wiser. I know what I want now." I pulled her towards me stealing her lips for another kiss
"Fucking get a room you two." We were pushed aside by Chico who stood there grinning like a cheshire cat.
Leigh-Anne pulled away from me giving Chico a shy smile
"Well I'm going to dance." She looked back at Jasmine and the others and she excused herself.
"If you don't stop looking at me like that fool.", I didn't even have to face him to know that he was still grinning.
"Is she your girlfriend now?" He asked and I finally glanced at him with a smirk on my face.
"We're getting there." I shrugged.
This was the first step. I planned to make her mine. Regardless of everything. She was worth it.
"I hope you don't hurt her homie"He gave me a genuine smile.
I was hoping the same thing too.
We went to the backyard,joining the other homies and we sat there having fun. I was warming up to this party better than I thought I would.
Everyone was having a good time and enjoying themselves. No drama whatsoever until Ruby rushed over to us
"Urh,Mr Spooky I need you need to go to your living room."I frowned at his words but I didn't waste a second and got on my feet.
This better not have anything to do with Leigh-Anne but as soon I stepped inside the house I realised it did involve her....and a very angry Natalia.
There Leigh-Anne was in the corner with her arms crossed whilst Natalia stood a few feet away from her going off.
I would've made a move to push her away if I felt like Leigh-Anne was in some sort of danger. But there she was picking her nails, looking bored. That made me love her even more.
"Are you going to step in anytime soon fool?" Benji smacked my head pointing towards the two.
I shushed him and tried to tune into whatever Natalia was screaming her head off at
All eyes were on her and the music had quietened down.
"You think you have him wrapped around your little fingers but you fucking don't." Natalia said loudly
"Okay." Leigh-Anne simply shrugged and that seemed to anger Natalia even more
She was about to lunge at Leigh-Anne but I quickly stepped in pulling her aeay from Leigh and then stepping in between the two of them
"Go home Natalia."I gave the 19 year old a bored look. She was ruining the whole party.
"This is not over." She snarled at Leigh only making me sigh in annoyance.
She knew better than to argue,I would've dragged her ass out of my house by her hair if I had to.
"Natalia. Don't become a problem." I warned.
She only glared and left the room and the party went back on. I exhaled through my nose and turned to Leigh-Anne.
She raised an eyebrow at me. "This is your party you look stressed."she smirked
Only her can shrug off what happened and act like everything's okay.
"I'm sorry about that."I apologised. I realised Natalia is one of the many things she has to deal with because of me.
"It's fine."She shrugged grabbing my hand
I thought she was about to dance with me but she just pulled me outside.
"Is your car keys with you?" She asked and I stopped shaking my head
"No." I looked at her in question.
"Well great asshole you ruined the whole thing.", she glared.
I took out my keys and dangled it in my hands.
"Where do you want to go?", i asked letting her pull me to my car.
