Savannah's POV

We used the limo to go to the dance.

Devon saw my obvious fascination with the parrot so he let me hold it.

"You bought the parrot?" I asked.

He shrugged. "It fit my outfit."

"You're aware its not just an accessory right?"

He shrugged again. "Karen likes birds. I'll give him to her."

"Let's name him Snow."

He smiled in obvious amusement at me.

"Perfect name." He teased and I laughed.

We pulled at the school and when we got down, I noticed he was wearing black Bluetooth on his ears.

"What's that for?" I asked.

"We have enemies on our borders. My guys are after them."

Oh. I nodded.

"Okay. I wanted to give you a corsage but decided its a waste of perfectly good flowers because it doesn't last. So I bought something more permanent."

He bent to my foot and slipped an anklet on it.

It was a chain with golden roses woven inside.

It sparkled as I moved my foot.

"Its beautiful Devon. Thank you."

"You're welcome Savannah."

We entered the dance hall.

Matt and Kylie where the ones in charge of decorating the hall since Drew and I bought the decorations and Devon, helped?

I don't like Kylie anymore but I can't deny she did an amazing job.

We entered the hall.

The photo booth was at the front of the hall.

"Let's go take pictures." I said excitedly and pulled him to the photo booth.

"Okay. The beautiful couple should take some pictures." The photographer said.

We posed in front of the camera and the cameras smile.

Devon turned my face and kissed my head.

The camera took pictures.

I smiled as my face began to warm up.

The photographs printed out and I looked at all of them.

They where beautiful.

I looked every bit a princess and Devon was as handsome as always.

We headed over to the dance floor and saw the pretty dance room.

The table was filled and over spilling with snacks and drinks.

The music boomed from the speakers.

Laughing, I went over to the dance floor, dragging Devon with me.

Many girls cooed over my outfit, asking for selfies and photographs.

Some even tried to pet the parrot on the Devon's shoulder.

I could see how uncomfortable he was, but he remained.

For me.

I decided to end his misery.

Pulling him away from them and standing beside the punch.

After taking a cup each, Devon and I stood at the corner, talking and laughing.
