Savannah's POV

His mum.

She wasn't dead.

I followed him outside and saw Leo leaving the premises entirely.

I bumped into Karen.

She flinched a bit when I held her but when she turned and saw it was me, she crumbled in my arms.

"I really messed up."

I smiled at her.

"Talk to Leo. I've got Devon covered. Besides, their anger isn't mostly at you. Its at their mum."

She nodded and went out.

I went after Devon and saw him about to get into a car.

I pulled him to face me.

He turned quickly, in a defensive stance but relaxed when he saw me.

"Look Savannah, I'm not in the mood to talk right now. Okay?"

I rolled my eyes and grabbed the keys from him.

I slipped into the driver's seat and gave him a head nod to get in.

"You're not driving my car."

I gave him a pointed look.

He sighed and slipped in.

"Seatbelt please."

"Now she speaks." He grunted.

I rolled my eyes at him and drove us over to our treehouse.

On the way, I noticed how his jaw ticked and he clenched his fist.

Deciding to tease him a bit, I turned on the car speakers. Plugging my phone in, I scrolled down and selected 'a girl worth fighting for, from Mulan.'

I almost laughed at his face as the song started.

He glanced at me but I watched the road ahead.

I heard as he mumbled under his breathe.

I stifled my laughter.

He claimed to hate the song to annoy Leo but I knew he loved it.

The song blared on the speakers.

Got a girl back home, whose unlike any other.

Bet the only girl who'll love him is his mother.

I watched as he froze.

Shit I forgot that song had something to do with a woman. A mother.

I changed the song quickly and moved it to the next one.

Luckily it was 'thinking out loud by Ed Sheeren'

When I pulled up at the forest, we stepped out and walked out.

We where quiet but I slipped my hand in his and he gripped it tighter.

We walked on till we reached the treehouse where we climbed up and switched on the lights.

"Sit down Devon." I ordered and he slumped down on the been bag.

I lay down and put my head on his lap.

"Now, calmly and gently tell me what's wrong."

He looked down at me and raised his eyebrows.

"Savannah I don't want to talk about this."

"You're lying. If you didn't you wouldn't have come with me."

He gave a small smile.

"Right. Okay. I'll tell you."
