-Shinso POV-
You ran into your room and immediately changed into your pajamas. You then dove for the trash can, pulled out the wadded-up note and carefully unfolded it. Taking out your phone, you enter the written name and number into your contacts, before flopping onto your bed and staring at the screen.
"I should probably send her something. But maybe she doesn't want to talk to me after the way I spoke to her today... But I know I won't be able to approach her tomorrow if I don't break the ice now. What if she's not interested in being my friend anymore? What if-"
You force yourself to stop your train of thought and smack yourself in the forehead. "God, don't be an idiot. You won't get anywhere by freaking out about it. Just man up and send her something, already."
Taking a moment to think, you type something out and take a look at it.
Shinso: Hey.
"Nah, that's stupid. I've gotta at least say who I am so she doesn't get confused."
Shinso: Hey. It's Shinso.
"I guess that's good enough? I don't really know what else to say at this point, plus she may not even want to talk to me at all, so I might as well start with something short and simple." You take a deep breath, close your eyes, and hit 'Send'. You stare at the screen and wait... Five seconds pass and there's no indication of her responding. Immediately, you regret having sent anything at all.
"Shit. I can't take it back... God, this is so mortifying." You grab your pillow and shove it into your face, letting out a groan of frustration. That's when you hear a *ping!* sound come from your phone. You slowly remove the pillow and take a peek at the screen...
L/n: Oh, hey Shinso! How are you? :)
"Oh lord, how do I respond? Should I be casual? Should I apologize right away for being a dick? This is so difficult!"
Shinso: I'm all right. How are you doing?
L/n: I'm doing well. Thanks for sending me a message! I figured that maybe you'd thrown away my number or something, haha!
You grimace... Did she know?
Shinso: Haha. Hey, I want to apologize for the way I acted earlier. I'm just not used to having people try to be friends with me.
L/n: That's all right. I'll give you a chance to make up for it. ;)
"Winky face? What the hell does that mean??"
Shinso: Um, how?
L/n: Have ramen with me?
"Wait, seriously? That's it?"
Shinso: Sure.
L/n: Yay! :D
Shinso: When?
L/n: How about tomorrow after school?
Shinso: Works for me.
L/n: Awesome. :) And don't be afraid to join Chikuchi and I for lunch. I don't know where you've been eating, but you shouldn't eat alone.
Shinso: Will do. Thanks.
L/n: No problem! Now I gotta work on this buttload of homework that Ectoplasm assigned to us.
Shinso: Haha, same.
L/n: I'll talk to you tomorrow?
Shinso: Sure.
