-Y/n POV-You walked Shinso through your training regimen. It's been a while since you really had a chance to train like this... All of your teachers had assigned so much homework over the weekends that you could hardly fit it into your schedule. However, in light of the Sports Festival, the teachers had lessened your workload significantly. Most of your classmates – Chikuchi included – were using the extra time to relax... But not you. You were glad that Shinso had agreed to come with you. You knew that he wanted to be a hero; He had said so back in the hospital, so you were thrilled that he was taking the first step toward achieving his goal.
"We still have some time... What should we do now?" You thought out loud as you looked at the clock on your phone.
"We haven't done any combat stuff yet."
You were surprised by his answer. "... Do you know any moves?"
He put a hand on the back of his neck. "My uncle's shown me a couple of things... Like how to block, dodge and throw a punch, but that's it."
"Well, show me what you got!" You were excited to learn that he had some fighting skill in him. You weren't expecting that from Shinso, so this was a pleasant surprise. You put your phone back in your backpack and take a few steps until you were a good distance away from the tree. "C'mon, let's go!"
You were ready to get started, but he seemed unsure. "What if I hurt you?"
"What? You're not gonna hurt me... Besides, I just basically beat your ass with my training exercises, so it'll only be fair if you get to beat my ass too."
He smirked at that and walked over to where you were standing. "All right... But don't cry when you lose."
Without warning, he throws a punch at your face. You barely manage to dodge it before he lands a punch in your stomach, successfully knocking the wind out of you. You clutch your stomach and land on your knees. "WHAT THE HELL?? You're not gonna teach me, first?!"
"I wanted to see how much you already knew... Apparently, it's not a lot."
"Dick."
-------------------------------
After another hour of training, he's taught you the basics of the few moves that he knows. You have yet to master them and beat him in a hand-to-hand fight. Where you had your strength, he had speed. But you decided that you would train together again the next day, so your chances of beating him weren't over.
You finally arrive at home and meet your dad in the living room. He's immediately concerned about the state of your appearance. "You look like hell!! What happened??"
"Training... The Sports Festival is coming up and I want to do my best!"
"Were you with someone else, at least?" He was concerned about you being out by yourself.
"Yeah, Shinso said that he wanted to train too, so we decided to work together."
Your dad stopped as soon as you mentioned your friend. "I, uh... I actually ran into Shinso the other day when I visited Aizawa in the hospital."
"Oh, yeah? How'd that go?"
"It went all right... He's grown up quite a lot." Your father glances at you as you put your backpack down.
"Well, I didn't even know that he existed when we were younger, so I can't really say that I know what you mean." You gave your father a pointed look and he rolled his eyes.
He paused for a few moments before speaking again. "How well do you two get along?"
This question was sudden, and at first you weren't sure how to respond. "Uhh, well... In the beginning, he was reluctant to talk to me... But then one day he changed his mind. We have a good amount in common and we always have something to talk about, so I guess you could say that we get along pretty well."
