Chapter 8: The Center of the Garden

I was stunned. I couldn't move. She was hurt so bad and I didn't do anything to help her. I just scared her even more.

I didn't hear her door close like I expected. I waited for a minute before walking to her room to find that her door was closed. How come I didn't hear it?

I gently knocked on the door before entering. She wasn't there. Her bed was empty, the window space was bare. She was just gone.

I looked in the bathroom to find it empty as well. The only thing I seen was the navy blue dress she was wearing earlier laying on the floor. I picked it up and threw it in my laundry basket before heading downstairs. I looked in the kitchen, drawing room, dining room, basement, living room, entrance hall, and the library. She was nowhere to be found.

"Granger where are you?" I grumbled under my breath. I thought of all the places she could be.

Fathers study? Nope.

Blaise's room? Nope.

Pansy's, Theo's, Crabbe's or Goyle's rooms? Nope.

My parent's room? Absolutely not.

So where could she be? She couldn't have apparated because she doesn't have a wand and because of the wards. She wouldn't have left the house because she would've been killed.

I stood in the hallway for a while before it hit me right between the eyes.

The garden.

I quickly made my way through the Manor and out the back door. I walked around the outside of the garden before venturing towards the center.

I stopped and listened. Was she singing?

I silently followed the sound of her voice until I seen her. Her back was towards me so she couldn't see me. She was sitting on a bench under the patio where me and my mother would have tea.
