I left his room and walked into mine. I sat down by the window and looked out on the Manor's grounds. It was so dark and gloomy compared to the garden.

I though about the many people that used to love me. Whether it was as family, friends, or a sister. At least I was loved back then. All those memories that we shared don't seem real anymore. They seem more like dreams than anything.

As I sat there, I tried to think of my years at Hogwarts before the war with my friends. The only memory that came right away was the first time I met Ron and Harry on the train in first year. After that I couldn't think of any others. I gave up on trying to revive some of the happiness that I felt in my heart all those years ago and went to bed.

After about two hours, I was taken to a flashback during the war. We were at the Malfoy Manor. Bellatrix hasn't arrived at the house yet so me and the boys were down in the basement. We had been there for three days. Three days of absolute darkness.

Flashback

I was sitting on one side of the cellar and the boys were sitting on the opposite. They were both asleep so I moved in fear that I might wake them. We all needed sleep but I couldn't. As I sat there, I started crying.

I cried for those who have lost someone, for those who have already died, for those suffering, for those students still at Hogwarts. Everyone.

I don't know when or how he got here, but while I was crying, someone sat down beside me and wrapped their arms around me.

"Don't worry Hermione." A male voice had said. "I am going to help you and your friends out of here even if it costs me my own life."

I was crying into his shoulder by now with my arms wrapped around his stomach. He rubbed my back and continued whispering encouraging things in my ear.

"Hermione look at me." He said gently. I pulled away from him and tried to find his face but it was to dark. "Are you looking at me?" He asked.

"I don't know. I can't see." I replied.

He muttered something under his breathe and a green light cast a dim glow around us. I looked up towards his face and only seen half of it.

"Hermione you have to believe me when I tell you that I am going to help you in any way I can. That's a promise." He said.

"You can't promise something like that." I said fear clear in my voice.

"Yes I can and I will. Hermione I don't want to see you get hurt. You have been hurt worse than anyone I know. I don't think I could live with myself if anything else happened to you. I am going to get you out of this house alive. Even if it's the last thing I ever do." He said firmly.

When he finished talking, I actually looked at him. He had grey eyes and platinum blonde hair. He was wearing a black suit and dress shoes.

I have seen this boy somewhere, but I couldn't think for the life of me where.

He was about to say something when a bang sounded from upstairs. He whipped around stared at the stairs with wide eyes.

"I've got to go." He looked back at me. "I stand by my promise. I will get you out of here." Then he stood up and crept towards the door and looked upstairs. When he seen that the coast was clear he grabbed his wand and unlocked the door.

Before leaving, he looked back at me and offered a small smile before ascending the stairs and leaving me in darkness once more.
