The shadow did not land, but you could obviously tell that is wasn't toothless, it was another changewing. The changewing flew up, up, up towards the forest.
The Commander was still up there, it was taking him a while. I shouldn't be worried, but I was.
I went back into the hall and shook my head.
Commander P.O.V
The Cangewing swooped again, It's long, sharp claws catching my arm and tearing a hole in my amour. I groaned in pain. Blood was dripping down the cut, over my wrists and fingers and onto the ground. a whip-like tail snapped across my neck and drew the hot, red liquid. a horn stabbed my side, I dropped to my knees, It was starting to get hard to breathe.
A changewing shot acid, hitting toothless. toothless warbled and slumped to the ground.

No. No one touches toothless. He's all I have.
I leapt forward with the dragon blade and held it to the Changewing's face.
NO ONE.TOUCHES.MY.DRAGON.
The changewing stepped back and they all retreated.

Astrid P.O.V
We were all sitting at the great hall tables when the doors slammed open.A figure in blackstepped in. It was the commander. He was soaked in blood and he was holding his right hand to his waistline.
He plonked himself beside me and sighed.
"What happened to you?!?" Fishlegs exclaimed.
"Ever tried fighting 20 Changewings at a time?"
