Commander P.O.V

The fact that she betrayed me still hurt as much as it did when it first happened.

3rd person P.O.V

The Commander tipped back his head and sighed, that had been a long meeting. He looked at the sun in the sky, almost midday. He had to go meet up with Evelyn. He arrived at her door around 10 minutes early, she wouldn't mind. The Commander knocked at the door and waited. She didn't come. Again, he knocked on the door.

Commander P.O.V

"Evelyn?" I spoke, waiting for my girlfriend to fling open the door and wrap me in a hug like she always did.

It didn't happen.

I took the handle and pushed the door open slowly. I stepped in, it was clean, as always. She didn't like to have a single speck of dust out of place in her house. Evelyn wasn't in the house, maybe she was still coming?

I left he hut and walked through the village looking for Evelyn. When I passed a certain alley in between two huts, I saw the unmistakable figure of my girlfriend. I was about to walk up to her and ask her what she was doing, but then another, taller silhouette came into the other side of the alley. It was Ragnor.

Ragnor was a warrior from the island of Nirthan. I had saved him from a shipwreck a couple of months back. I was going to fly him home in a week or two, when he had gotten the message to his tribe.

The silhouette of Evelyn clapped her hands and moved towards Ragnor. He stroked her hair and muttered something to her. How dare he? Poor Evelyn!

Then, what Evelyn did cracked my heart in two.

She pulled on the collar of his tunic and pressed her lips onto his. At that moment, my heart shattered, evaporated, fell. I looked away.

When I looked back, she was still eagerly kissing him. Why would she do this? A silent tear rolled down my face. I put one hand under my helmet and swiped it away. Dad once told me that if you're tough, you don't cry, it shows weakness.

I couldn't take it anymore. I took off to the docks.

Toothless was waiting, drawing pictures in the sand with a branch. His drawing skills where getting considerably better, compared to when I first met him and he could only manage to draw a squiggle.

I swung my leg over Toothless' back and we flew into the sky.

Toothless P.O.V

Hiccup was sobbing onto my neck and breathing heavily. What was wrong with him? My poor Friend! When he stopped crying, he yelled and punched the air and fell onto my back. (As in the scene in HTTYD 2 when he first sees Valka) I bet it was the meeting, that chief that sits on the right... he's sketchy....

Commander P.O.V

The next day, after I had stopped my wracking sobs and tears, I flew to Freyda Island, where I was met with the whole village.

"Commander! Where did you go? You left the meeting and then no-one could find you!" Chief Bjorn said.

"Commander are you here to bring me back?" Ragnor shouted above the noise of the crowd.

Today was the day I had to take Ragnor home. He didn't deserve my help. I had had enough, he was going to have to make it home himself.
