That, is my home.

"You live... in a cloud of smoke?" Snotlout asked. He leant back toward the others and whispered, "See, he lives in a gods damned cloud of smoke, I told you he was a freak..."

"I can hear you, you know!" I chimed.

"What?! How did you hear him?! He was, like, really quiet. Do you have supersonic hearing or something?!"

Astrid P.O.V

Hiccup didn't answer that question, he just kept flying.

"The smoke is part of my plan to keep the island hidden. A dragon called the smothering smokebreath produces the smoke, hiding the entire island when they sense any danger nearing. There are also other security systems, including the sentinel posts, I'll point them out to you when we get there." He sighed.

"oooh! Smothering smokebreath! And... Sentinels? What are they?" Fishlegs said.

"Boulder class, wingspan 30 feet, shot limit 8, fire power 6 and attack 12. They were originally only from Vanaheim, the last resting place of the dragons. They are blind but have an amazing sense of hearing and smell." Hiccup replied. It was as if he knew it all off by heart.

"How on Midgard do you know all this?!" Fishlegs said, sounding slightly jealous.

Hiccup clicked his metal foot in a certain position and then stood up and spun around to face us.

"Well, you know 6 years with dragons, no human contact for ,like, 5 years... you learn a lot."

"5 years without human contact?!" I exclaimed.

"Pretty much, only met the Freyda tribe a year ago."

He walked off Toothless' wing and walked onto Stormfly's.

"What did you eat?!"Snotlout exclaimed.

"What do you eat" Hiccup replied.

"Yak, fish, sheep, chicken..."

"Well then, I ate the same as you." He shrugged. "Leaving Berk was probably the best choice I ever made." He said as he walked back onto Toothless.

We neared the cloud of smoke and Hiccup pulled out his sword.

He clicked one button 3 times and 3 puffs of Zippleback gas came out. He set each one alight with the sword and almost immediately the smoke parted.

We gasped.

Behind the smoke was an island, nearly 2 times the size of Berk. In the center was a big mountain, huge in fact.

The trees were flourishing with fruits and jade, bottle and olive green leaves. The streams ran like a maze throughout the island. They were so clear, you could see the fish gliding through the water. There were yak, sheep, chicken, horses, everything! Flowers covered fields and littered the whole island, swaying in the cool, sweet breeze. There was trees of every kind, and small canyons with little waterfalls gushing over the top. I am loyal to Berk, yes, but this was even more amazing than my home by FAR. It was the most beautiful place I'd ever seen.

But the most amazing thing was, dragons. EVERYWERE.

Dragons drinking from streams

Dragons catching fish

Dragons circling the mountain

Dragons shooting targets.

Dragons coming straight at us.
