Riley's POV

"I'm gonna go get changed for bed." I tell James.

"Alright. Just go to in front of the truck while I put out the fire." He says. I bite my lip with an uncomfortable and unsure look. He quickly notices.

"I promise I won't look." He chuckles.

"Okay, I guess I trust you." I joke before grabbing my bag and escaping to the front of the truck.

James's POV

I took a water bottle and brought it to our little fire.

Before I emptied the bottle onto the fire and leaving us in the darkness, I happened to glance up in Riley's direction.

Don't get me wrong. I wasn't being some kind of pervert. I'm her boyfriend and I have some kind of right to see her, although I know it wasn't right because I promised. But I couldn't help myself.

She was back on to me. She was still wearing her jeans, but was taking off her shirt, exposing her bra. Her milky white pale skin shone in the moonlight. She glances behind her, in my direction, just as I quickly look down in fear of being caught.

After that I quickly put out the fire.

"Can you see?" I ask her after we were cut off from light.

"Yeah." She says. She walks back wearing pyjama bottoms, a tank top and knockoff Ugg boots.

"And I also seen you looking at me." She adds. My face boils red in embarrassment and shame.

"I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to, I just looked up and-" I try to apologize but she cuts me off.

"It's fine James. It's no big deal." She says. I smirk at her.

"What?" She asks. I smirk bigger, shifting my weight. She giggles.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" She asks again.

Riley's POV

James grabs me and tosses me onto the mattress.

I hear the sound of the mugs clank against the rocks as they fall off the tailgate.

James climbed on top of me, kissing me with so much passion. It was like he couldn't stop. I could barely keep up with him.

His lips leave mine, and he begins a trail of kisses down my neck, my chest, and begins kissing back up my neck again and than back to my lips.

His lips leave my lips again, and starts sucking on my neck, his hands rubbing my back.

"James, slow down." I pant. He stops and looks at me. His eyes were wild.

"I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to push that on you." He says. I nod.

"It's okay." I say softly, touching his face. He slowly gets off me, and than lays by my side.

"Do you want to get in the bed?" He asks. I hesitate before nodding.

"Sure." I say quietly. He takes off his shirt and tosses it to the side. We get under the covers and snuggle close together.

"Can I ask you something?" I say quietly.

"Sure baby."

"When you say you love me...Do you mean it?" I ask nervously. He looks at me oddly before proceeding to speak.

"I never ever told any other girl I loved them before. Because...Well because I never actually loved them. Sure I played lots of girls, but I never went as far as told them I loved them when I really never." He smiles at me and pokes my cheek. "But you, I do love."

I let out a satisfying sigh and cuddle closer to him.

James's POV

"Can I ask you something else?" Riley asks.

"Shoot."

"Were you always a player?" She asks.

"No, I wasn't." I reply.

"Than what happened?" She asked, tracing my abs. I sigh, recalling the story.

"I wasn't always popular, athletic, and captain of the football team. When I was fourteen, I was the loser. I didn't have many friends, and a girl wouldn't even think about dating me. One day, Mikayla Roster, the most popular girl in school, asked me out. Of course I was mind blown. But I never thought twice about it. I just thought that I was lucky. But, as the weeks went on, something didn't seem right. And that's when I found out it was...A bet." I finished my sentence, and look down at my own bet. Riley. I gulp, take a deep breath, and finish my story "After that, I changed myself. I trained all summer and tried out for the football team, and surprisingly got in. I changed my look, my attitude, my everything. All the girls wanted me, and I guess since I wasn't fully recovered from the heartache Mikayla caused me, I wanted to make other girls feel that too. I went from girl to girl, not really caring who I hurt along the way."

"I can't believe someone would do something like that." She says quietly.

"Do what?"

"Date someone because of a bet. It's just terrible." She mutters. I gulp a lump in my throat.

"Yeah, but what if the person fell in love with you along the way of the bet?" I ask nervously. She shook her head.

"It doesn't matter. The only reason the person would of fell in love with me was because they had to do the bet." She replies.

"So you would be mad?" I ask.

"I would never want anything to do with that person again." She replies. I bite the inside of my cheek harshly.
